I think it’s low key motivates these rappers. Freddie Gibbs was doing the same thing with Nas too. I think he is the bar that everyone is trying to reach. He is setting the standard so high, they he touching the egos of these rappers.

I agree that song is better. The problem is comparing himself to a legend that has been in the game so long and set blueprints. You can’t compare yourself to a legend who is still in the game making classics to a dude that just raps his ass off. Pay homage. If he had any sense, he would know whether now or never, it’s no comparison when son has been doing it for so many years with so much success and businesses and other shyt going on compared to what random, Gibbs, or any other rap fans.

I recognize Ransom is a great lyricist but I can't listen to nobody who sounds like they're reading their lyrics in the booth. His mic presence is boring as fukk. Do I think Nas is the best rapper in 2021/2022? No. But if I made a list Ransom wouldn't come to mind despite how impressed I am with him lyrically at times.
