Stop it. Dude is not better than current Nas. Dude is one of these "just rhyming words for the sake of it" rappers. Same damn cadence on every single song. You could use one Ransom verse and just change the beat, and no one would notice. What Nas does with his pen, Ransom wishes he could. Also, dude keeps Nas' name in his mouth. He wouldn't say the same about Jay, for example.

You wanna argue Ransom got better bars reading them on the page or more complex rhyme schemes nowadays go for it. Nas ain't been a consistent "rappity rap" spitter for a while. Ransom is not touching Nas on a flow or overall album quality level though, dude never dropped a better overall project than the KDs or Magic

I agree that song is better. The problem is comparing himself to a legend that has been in the game so long and set blueprints. You can’t compare yourself to a legend who is still in the game making classics to a dude that just raps his ass off. Pay homage. It’s just unnecessary disrespect imo. To say your leagues ahead of veteran with the stature of Nas, Rakim, Jay etc. Be humble. The legends may give you that co-sign.

Ransom can rap but he can’t compose an overall good song, he has zero charisma. Nas was never a bar after bar or rapper. Nas is Scorsese and Ransom is a Michael Bay type of artist. Different leagues all together
