Black bond, roses and where’s the love back to back to back is ridiculous and this version didn’t even have trust on it :wow:

I didn’t realize Nas rapped over 3 drumless beats in the album:ohhh: (stay, worlds addiction and black bond)

Reach Out and Locomotive are dope nods to the old school. I like how both queens story and worlds addiction feel like scores. The production on this is really excellent. Which kinda trips me out cause during the hiatus after this release the “Nas picks bad beats” crowd got louder and larger.

What are some things you caught on your revisit?

Listening to Life Is Good on its anniversary and yea this might be better than Stillmatic. As much as I loved KD2 and Magic I’m not sure they are better. Album really holds up over time. One of Nas best produced albums front to back and lyrically and flow wise he was a demon.
LIG is a great fukking album but Stillmatic got the all time highs fam. Stillmatic intro You're Da Man What Goes Around Rewind ect.. LIG may be a better end to end but better IDK. Nas rapping on Stillmatic>> LIG even tho he bodied every song on there:damn:. I do think LIG is better than KD2

One thing that stood out to me is how great Nas was rapping. His lyricism and ability to paint pictures is next level. Also the album was very well produced. I also like the way he incorporated those person songs. Daughters, stay, cherry wine, bye baby, roses etc. this album deserved multiple awards.

What do you think about that ? (If true)

I 100% agree with it. The pocket Nas is in currently sonically in 2022 just works. Nas sounds great over it as well. It is producing albums front to back that sounds great in any setting. The range of sounds hit is giving Nas is great. I’m all for the modern producing sounding albums. I’m all for Nas working with newer artist as well.

Next week : too soon with no announcement yet.
July 29th : Beyonce
August 5th : Eminem - Curtain Call 2
August 12th : The Game - Drillmatic, executive producer Hit-Boy.
August 30th to October 4th : Tour with the Wu-Tang Clan.

If we're getting KD 3 this summer then it's probably August 19th or 26th.
We might not get it until October tho.

Those are scores according to the liner notes. When I saw that Salaam Remi was sampling his own compositions, I had a new found respect for him as a producer. He really had orchestration on both songs and they brought in a classically trained pianist (Chloe Flowers) to play on "Queen's Story" where the beat fades and its just Nas rapping over a piano.

Was hype to see that vid but seems like it got cancelled because Tahiem was killed.

Speaking of Life is Good and Nas is Good. One of my favourite vids of Nas is this queens story one Jungle Co directed haha. And Nas I good was giving me those same DVD/ hood video cibes

I thought that on life is good, the production was the most solid he had since god's son and his flow was top notch. but I do think he stepped down a little lyricaly wise, his pen was sharper on untitled. he wasn't til the kd series where he picked it up. but it was ok since the focus was more about the divorce theme rather than stricly bars. he was top notch on the deluxe joints tho. to me the deluxe version is the only way to truly appreciate this album

he dropped dope merch too for the 10th anniversary of the album

Makes me a bit nervous whos current that would sound good with Nas? It will be interesting to see who theyll invite to be apart of KD3.
Nas and Hit are in such a zone, I wouldn’t even worry. They are not dropping anything wack. It will be fresh and new but still sound like Nas.
