THE LOST TAPES 3

Since there was any real talk about TLT3, Nas has put out 3 AMAZING albums, and working on a 4th. Lots of people didn’t feel TLT2, especially after the Al Jerreau joint was the lead single. I personally loved the project and was stoked to hear that he was already thinking of a 3rd volume with features. With all that has changed with Nas and his musical output, Y’all still think we will still get TLT3? I hope so.
I think we will eventually. I think have al Jerreau as the lead single threw everyone off. Especially as a lead single. In the social media era, it’s tough to release songs like that. Even though it wasn’t bad it was very risky for this climate. As a whole lost tapes 2 is fire though, especially the second half.

Podcast, Documentaries, albums, but the brother won't promote and bring more visibility to what he's doing Smh
But yea that award show needs to happen.

Nas was JUST at the Tribeca Film Festival promoting the Supreme Team Documentary. Nas definitely does promo he just doesn’t fukk with the gossipy bytch ass Hip Hop “Gatekeepers” who would rather focus on bullshyt other than the art.

I used to wish Nas would do more extensive promo work too but when I see these artists on promo runs nowadays they always get asked the dumbest hot take questions about who they fukkin, who they have beef with, EVERYTHING other than the project. I wouldn’t want to go through that crap either

honestly, I don't get why some of y'all care about sales so much. He has what 9 multi-platinum Gold albums? not counting the Plat Firm album. He's never been a chart-topping artist I know we want him to win but his achievements speak for itself. He doesn't need those features just great music which he been dropping in abundance especially lately

To say Nas has “never been a chart topping artist” is both downright wrong and a discredit to Nas’s career and legacy.

All of Nas’s albums on Def Jam debuted at Number 1. Nasir, which was a Def Jam/Mass Appeal hybrid debuted at Number 5.

Before that both It Was Written, The Firm, and I Am debuted at Number 1. I Am sold 470K first week and actually outsold Vol 3’s first week sales that same year.

Kings Disease 2 just last year debuted at Number 3 on Billboard and Number 1 on the Rap/R&B charts.

I agree that Nas should make the music he WANTS to make without having to worry about which feature to place on which song and any of that nonsense. But the point is that he has had and will continue to have the capability to have mainstream success while retaining his artistic credibility.

Regardless of how us fans feels about sales, it is still important for the brand. He is now under his own label, a number 1 looks good for the label. It’s not so much that I’m worried about sales, but I was just naming what those songs would have done with those other features. Nas also isn’t an underground artist either, so him getting chart positions isn’t a negative. Also us pushing to get him to number 1 even if we don’t succeed isn’t a bad thing either.
He'll always chart just off his fanbase alone. Both KD albums charted in the top 5 Magic was top 10 (even tho it wasn't heavily marketed missed opportunity imo) as well. He's just adding to already cemented legacy at this point

Nas can show up to any interview and say this is what I want to talk about and that's what'll be talked about.. The average rap fan has no clue Nas was promoting the documentary at the Tribeca Film festival. I'm sorry but he could easily get millions of views by just doing a few of these podcast and that instantly takes up whatever he's promoting a notch up. Didn't do it with the Ralph Mcdaniels doc or the Magic album.. The internet is a resource. Use it.

Depending on how long you workout I honestly think Magic is a PERFECT workout album just straight through

Also you could add The Pressure, The Cure, 40 Side, Composure and Store Run and you’ve got a solid hour of music there
