Didn't care about the rollout, I cared about the finished product which was good to me.

Beats get lifted off of artist all the time, "We Gone Make It (Jadakiss song) was Ras Kass' beat first H to the Izzio was Cam'Ron' beat first ect....... What two beats from Nasir are you referring to?

Who was the Nasir album cover originally intended for?

This wasn't a case of beats being lifted. Alchemist actually produced "We Gone Make It" and Kanye did "H to the Izzo". What I'm referring to is this:

"Adam & Eve" was lifted from a poorly done Nas blend by an unknown artist. The cover was bitten from the same artist. Read this article:

Kanye West & Nas Accused of Stealing "Nasir" Beat & Cover Art: Reported Comparison (hotnewhiphop.com)

An underground DJ/ Producer named Architect made a Nas blend tape that used the Adam & Eve sample and he also used the same picture for an album cover for another artist named The Great Flood, who was from the same place where the photo was taken.

I didn’t put too much stock into the beat thing because technically the Producer “stole”’Nas’s own lyrics when he made and sold the blend tape so whatever. But the album cover thing is a little too much of a coincidence.

One thing can be a coincidence in life, but two? The beat AND cover being the same are just too much, and it convinced me that someone in Kanye's camp heard that tape. People like Kanye, Drake, etc have shyt sent to them all the time so I wouldn't be shocked if some intern had a "Nas ideas" file for samples and shyt.

Wats is just bugging about this run of Hit Boy albums lol. He fux with Nas heavy even rode for Nasir and Lost Tapes 2, he just dont like that a guy like Hit Boy whom he clearly precieves as only the nikkas in Paris is doing this with. He the OG but he has some moments of just as bad credibility as any mainstream publication that him and 3Letterman cry about not properly covering hip hop

I don't understand the Nasir (Album) hate.

:francis:

It’s trash.

This is why I tend to stay out of this thread. Nas is my favorite artist, but I keep shyt real. He has trash albums, and when I see nyggas in here give his lackluster albums props like Nastradamus, Nasir, etc the shyt is disgusting.

Even if you enjoy the album, if you can’t objectively understand why the album is viewed the way it is, then that’s just some weird stan shyt.

He's relentless with the Nas Hit-Boy hate.
RJ Payne producer whatever his name is posted up that he did all the beats for his last album in January. Watson came out of the blue to tell him I enjoy this pairing more than Nas and Hit-Boy Lol I was looking like this is real random to just mention Nas and Hit like that lol

Peace

The Kanye stole the beat & artwork story is not true. August Fanon who produces for Mach Hommy who is from Dallas Texas used the same artwork for his album cover 5 years before Nas & Nowaah The Flood did. Nowaah is also from Texas! So did Nowaah bite from August Fanon?
Almost every underground producer who makes beats has Nas remixes! Even August Fanon has his remixed Nas album on his bandcamp. That sample too was used by other rappers before Architect! Architect works close with Planet Asia who used the beat too. Guess who produced the song? Not Architect!! Sonny Vintage! Madlib used the sample after Nas too! That’s Hip Hop

Some of these underground dudes think they are more important than they are. Nas makes a song Meet Joe Black & gets accused of biting smh
