Nas has always talked about writing on his phone. He wrote his verse from Common’s Ghetto Dreams on his iPhone

for him it might even be more about him losing so many books back in the day full of rhymes or he may have changed the way he writes, more on the spot with the beats now rather than how he used to just write and fit it to the beat later.

Yeah, I don't think this master class is supposed to be showing Nas's definitive way of making a song because there probably isn't one. Just judging from the clips we've seen over the last few years from KD1 and 2, Echo, Dice Game, etc. Sometimes he stands and sometimes he sits. Sometimes he writes on the spot and sometimes he has something ready to go. Sometimes he uses a pen and pad and sometimes he types in his phone.
