My guy. U dont always have to wanna hear those but atleast 4 of em are objectively dope records. To put LIG on the same level as Nastradamus is damn right blasphemy. That even sounds ridiculous to me. Lol. My sister danced to Cherry Wine at her wedding reception.

Lol

Im one to NOT keep the Nastradamus narrative going.

I listen to 7 strong on that album. I listen to 7 strong on LIG. 8 if you put Daughters in. LIG dont have one song better than project Windows. Stay is close.

Since I feel Nas has the best catalogue, I typically rank them by what I listen to the most with the exception of Illmatic.

I will not stand for any Life is Good blasphemy.

It's probably my most listened Nas Album in the last 10 years. Dare I say I rank it up there with illmatic, Stillmatic and Lost Tapes.

You're not supposed to rank it that high, it came out in the 10s :troll:

LIG could definitely be considered a top 5 Nas album

Untitled so underrated. Couple a classic joints on that album
What classic joints though. I’d argue there’s not a song on there that “matters” - whether being a hit, banger, fan favorite, staple of live shows, memorable track, etc. It’s not a bad album, it’s just a bit disjointed and the production is whatever.

“Classic” should mean something. NY State Of Mind, The Message, Nas Is Like, One Mic, Purple, Make You Look, Thief’s Theme, Still Dreaming, Bye Baby…those all meet that criteria and would be heard during a live show. Didn’t count KD since it’s new and Covid meant no touring (yet). I didn’t include anything from Nastradamus, Untitled or Nasir…

I agree. Nastradamus is much better than people give credit for, there’s a lot of joints on there I keep in rotation. Life we choose,Project Windows, Family, Last Words are all top tier Nas songs.

Even the songs that aren’t top tier are still good to me such as Nastradamus, Come Get Me, Shoot em up, God Love Us, New World, You Owe Me.

Nastradamus is for me a pretty smooth listen with not many joints I skip. I Definitely rank it higher than SD and HHID

I rank it right with LIG too. Granted I rank both of em a little higher than you do, but I think they are both pretty solid Nas albums with a couple of skippable joints.

For me:

Fried Chicken is classic. Louis Farrakhan is a classic and the intro is classic. Testify is so dope to me, but I wouldn't label it "classic". Untitled is An album that gets regular spins from me bro. All respect to your opinions tho

the tri-state
nas captures a rare moment in time and space with his albums and the content contained

for that alone he should get more props than he does

What?

Im not in the mood to hear Daughters, WORLD IS AN ADDICTION, Cherry Wine, The Don, Black Bond on most days Im checking for Nas catalogue.

Is this blasphemy? Of course not..

it is blasphemy

cherry wine/daughters/world addiction are mood pieces and i can understand why someone would not want to particularly listen to those topics and choruses.

but black bond?????

its him at his best spittin over a break with no hook

same for the don/nasty
