“Classic” should mean something. NY State Of Mind, The Message, Nas Is Like, One Mic, Purple, Make You Look, Thief’s Theme, Still Dreaming, Bye Baby…those all meet that criteria and would be heard during a live show. Didn’t count KD since it’s new and Covid meant no touring (yet). I didn’t include anything from Nastradamus, Untitled or Nasir…
Not trying to nitpitck but Project Windows was on Nastradamus.

Untitled a funny one. Personally no track is an 'elite Nas song' but same time it's good to excellent throughout and is a solid 4 mic album personally.
But that's what makes it a great body of work for me is you can play it front to back no skips

What classic joints though. I’d argue there’s not a song on there that “matters” - whether being a hit, banger, fan favorite, staple of live shows, memorable track, etc. It’s not a bad album, it’s just a bit disjointed and the production is whatever.

Untitled is a really ambitious project that didn’t quite come together imho.
He was tackling some heavy subjects that can’t be done justice in four minute songs.

Testify, Untitled (Farrakhan), and Queens Get The Money are def my favorite tracks on the album and the best beats. I would have added tracks from the mixtape (Let's Go Esco, ****** Hatred as an interlude, Gangsta Rap, Ghetto, Seen It All) plus some harder shyt production wise. Like I said...when you hear that title you automatically think it's gonna be some loud, wild shyt. Some Bombsquad, Amerikkka's Most Wanted type shyt. Mixtape had tracks that gave me that vibe. The drums on Legendary, the intro...that's what I wanted.
Yes. I’ll add the first half of nikkaz 4 Life to that list. Underneath all that mayhem and nihilism, they were saying something. I still jam that first half.

Its not that serious. Let people talk about what they talk about, or post about the things you want to talk about. If its no new news then just skip over the thread. Its an artist thread at the end of the day so as long as folks arent trolling there’s no sense in trying to police the content.
