That's some hatin talk from Lupe. Why couldn't you be happy for both?? Nas is certified legend, why wouldn't you be happy about him winning?

I don’t remember Lupe saying that but I do remember Royce saying he’d give Nas bars if they hit the studio.


Basically Lupe and that white dude were trying to give Royce his flowers on that episode. Royce was acting kinda salty that Nas never shouted him out or acknowledged him (He pointed out that Nas acknowledged Lupe) or did a song with him.

Lupe is a weird dude sometimes. He’s a Nas super fan and has called him the supreme rapper on numerous occasions. I took the whole thing as him trying to big up Royce as Royce REALLY comes off as insecure at times. Royce kept bringing up that Lupe was already a Grammy winner and Lupe went out of his way to express how little it meant to him

I took it as him saying Royce is the better rapper in 2020/2021. Personally I’ve never liked Royce and you know my feelings on Lupe lmao. Lupe is a Nas stan, I just assume thinks current Nas isn’t Illmatic/IWW/Stillmatic Nas.

Which is fine but uh...did you hear The Cure, Blue Benz, Car 85. Nas is still rapping at a high level.

For one. Nas HAS shouted out Royce before. And he did so recently as well. I’m tired of these goofy nikkas he still need to get slapped up for that shyt he said about Kane. But honestly I’m glad nikkas is giving they true feelings tho.
