Does anyone else think Life is Good is a classic, or is it just me? :ohhh:

The standard edition is borderline, but the bonus tracks take it way over the top for me. :wow:
Classic Easy. That deluxe version something special. The range on that album is crazy. Life is Good and Victory Lap my favorite solo albums from last decade.

Life is Good is classic to me too. You know how you have what you consider to be the best albums in your favorite artists catalogue but then you also have your favorites. LIG is both for me when it comes to Nas. One of his best and one of my favorites. If I were to make any changes I would take Swizz off summer on smash and it would then be tolerable for me, add Trust to the standard album, find a way to have used Beautiful Life even if it meant re-writing rhymes so it wouldn’t feel like an album closer, finally, I would have wrote a focued rhyme for the Statik selectah beat and released it as a street single ahead of LIG. It would’ve discuses Nas and his wife strgguking through their relationship.

That whole era of Nas's career was crazy:

Features- "Triple Beam Dreams" (he dropped one of his best verses ever), "Kings and Queens" off Tyga's album, "This Thing of Ours" off MMG 2, "Champions" off Nicki's sophomore album, "Mirage" off Chris Brown's album

His cameo in Nicki's video.

Performing "Summer On Smash" at the ESPY's

Nas week on Complex

The cool covers for the singles

I think some people have Nasir Jones catalogue f***** up. If its 20 song versus Nas can go against anybody. I see alot of the conversation about the battles people want and some people know but alot of people never sleep.

One of the things I like about Nas is that without a ton of hits, Nas’ catalog still can match anyone’s. Nas is a legendary artist because he is the kind of rapper that is so lyrical and creative, that his deep cuts are going to be works of art. He is the type can spit a whole song and it can be a masterpiece all the way down to a single bar. Few can do this.

What do you guys think about the song Revolutionary Warfare?

It was one that didnt immediately grab me when Godson dropped But after the initial hype of the album drop the song quickly grew on me and became one of my favourites on the album. I remember my initial reaction was that I could hear Tupac featured on this so I always think of Pac whenever I hear this particular song which is weird because I dont remember Pac on any song that sounds remotely like this. Anyways, not saying its one of Nas' best songs because its not but its a pretty good Nas song that no one really talks about. As usual Nas was spitting and Lake did a good job too.

Great song. Nas has alot of records like this that are just dope hip hop songs. Nothing flashy just dope.

Nas “Never Too Late” is a cold track. Anybody know anything about this joint? What era is it from? I don’t think a CD, no DJ version exists. Who produced it?

It’s one of his best songs, perfect song similar to Every Ghetto on Stillmatic in that you have an unknown guest verse who goes just as hard as he does, Lakes verse on this track was great.
