NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
One note on Seasons. DJ Houseshoes, who is a Detroit legend who worked closely with Dilla, kinda shat on that song. He later mentioned Dilla did a beat for Nas, and he physically gave it to Run The Jewels' DJ to hand to Nas. This was back when RTJ were on Mass Appeal. Dunno what era the beat was recorded in but Dilla had tried to give it to Nas at some point in life.
I remember it was a few people shytting on The Season. He was one of them. I was annoyed as fukk about how people was acting when he dropped that.

it's frustrating as fukk when I want to listen to On the Real in CDQ, and I OWN it on physical CD...

but I pay for Apple Music and it's not on there

I also OWN Distant Relatives unedited physical CD
but am stuck listening to the edited version on Apple

why is there only an edited version of DR on Apple anyways?

Clownshoes needs to sit the fukk down and worry more about how Dilla's Mom called him for holding some of Dilla's stuff. Hes always been a fukking dweeb.
I do know that Dilla said he did a bunch of beats for Nas over the years and submitted but I think Nas himself didnt know it was from him (Even did a beat for a Busta/Biggie/Nas joint that was never done). I thnk he off hand mentioned he only knew of JD from the Ummah and Nas wasnt really into those minimialist underground beats at the time but certainly hes gotten up on Dilla and then hopped on that joint that was already out

Thank god I wasnt heavy on twitter back then, cause everywhere else I heard positive things about tht joint when it dropped

I hate how Spotify doesn't even include Fetus (Belly Button Window) on the explicit version of The Lost Tapes.

I used to follow houseshoes back then. Then I found out how much of a dweeb he can be so I stopped following him.

I loved the season. I never in my life thought I would hear Nas over a Dilla beat. I know its an old recycled beat but its still a dope beat and Nas tore it up too.

It's still wild to me that it took a white guy to make a video like this to appreciate more of Nas music outside of illmatic.
