this's what some fools in the 20 song battle threads don't get, sometimes album cuts can be as memorable and impactful as hits when it comes to someone like Nas.

The thing with these battles is that it really ain't about hits as much as it is songs that are staples or signature songs in an artist's catalog. Like, in order to win one of these Versuz battles, which it really isn't about winning as much as it is celebratory, most of the songs are essential songs in an artist's catalog. They'll throw 1 or 2 rarities or something nobody's heard before, but that's usually later on in the battle.

Man nas has some crazy non album cuts too.. on the real and star wars are two of my favorites too. He crushed those.

I wonder whatever happened to the Rumored Nas track that covered Gang Starr’s Mass Appeal track? I think there was talk about a Mass Appeal compilation.

Nah it's a blend I think if not then Columbia probably took Nas off. The original is Shaq, Jay and Tariq off of Shaq album.



Edit: Yup Esco was on the OG no idea if they recorded it add the same time though. Shot out Clue annoying ass
