I remember a large professor interview where he said nas has some bangers with timberland. I feel like nas has a bunch of bangers in the vault.

I need to hear something and the Nas Album Done album is going to go down in history like Death of Escobar. Here is what gets me about Nas. You know he has lots of music. fI you were to go back and look at the Lost Tapes 2 track lists that we all put together, there was only 2 songs that we had heard, 2. He put out 13-14 unreleased songs that we didn't know about. He says he has enough for 2-3 more. I am starting to believe that his estimate of how much music he has remaining in the vault does not even take into his consideration his Sony music.

I'll be honest I think that song is in the vault for a reason. Its probably not that good

Remember it probably came from the same session BBC see did off MCHG, where Jay admitted they just went in the studio drank a lot and the album came out unfocus.
BBC was made cause they had all those people in the same studio in different rooms and he was "Ah fukk it lets just hop on who cares" and I cant help but think Sinatra is like that.

Sure part of the reason it might not have dropped was because the magnitude of the artists requires some clearence from labels but I also think it might just be some mid.

Why would it be mid? Nas has put classics in the vault for whatever reason. Song could be fire. And Nas has to be holding on to it for a reason because Jay Z wanted that song.

I wouldn't even compare that song to "BBC" because those were different sessions.

Nas started working with Timbo in 2012 right after Life Is Good. At that time, Timbaland was either finishing Justin's 20/20 Experience or was in the middle of working on it. Jay Z was the last album that Timbaland worked on out of that era. Tim was in the studio with Justin, Nas, and Beyonce working on their albums. Jay Z started MCHG during the Beyonce sessions. Timbaland didn't even produce "BBC".

I know but I always felt like that record came out of the spur of all those producers and artists being in the studio
It could be special it could also be mid

I just feel like if it was that great we would have heard it years ago because the combination of people on that record would be too hard not to put out.

But hey then again Street shyt sounded fire and theres no reason why thats still vaulted so I could be wrong

Makes sense tho.

Thats partially it maybe also we were in that era where the big singles were Lil Jon, Kanye, Neptunes or G Unit singles and Nas went totally off the grid.
Its funny, the song actually got a lot of radio and video airplay on mainstream outlets in the fall of 2004 so I assumed it was gonna be a success crossover hit in the vein of I Can or One Mic which also wasnt a hot club or radio beat but people seemed to buy into it. But I guess the Bad to the Bone was just a little too non contemporary especially when you had like Lean Back and Drop like its hot and was more about safe club and radio joints more than ever

So I just think it was not club type record so it wasnt embraced by an urban audience even though it got this little attention amongst the over 30 crowd

For those curious about the Nas and Hit-Boy collaboration, he released an album at the beginning of the year, he's an average mc, but i wouldnt have been mad at Nas rapping on most of these beats.:ehh:

I just hope Nas keeps dudes rhyming to a minimum.

Agreed! The song sounds like it could be major. But we will see.
