It was cool, one of the few places in London where you could get like a proper NY pizza (Theres always imitators and you can get American pizza everywhere but something that aint just Domino's/Pizza Hut) but the chef would like import the water from NY to make the dough, little things like that.
I was shocked to hear it got shut down when I went by it in January. Their opening some fine dining chinese restaraunt with some celeb chef now:mjcry:

That NY water:ohlawd:

How does London water taste?:mjlit:

Unfortunately I’d give this no more than a year before shutting up shop

Poor area, eateries there are mostly Asia or boutiques. The American diners there already and a few got shut down in the past 3-5 years

Oxford Circus? I mean theres a lot of different type of restraunts in that area but yeah surviving there is tough for the American style restaraunts. Not cause theres a lack of interest but too much choice along with high cost of rent. Jaimie Oliver's American Diner down off Picadilly is another one. They always looked busy but somehow they dont always last

But you never know Im still shocked that awful oily ass Bubba Gump Shirmp place is still open in Trocadero going now 6 years:martin:

And as much as I fukk with Five Guys when it first opened, can they chill with opening so many in the same damn area:bryan:

Yeah OC. Not poor as in financially, just a poor & lazy choice in London. Somewhere in south west would have been perfect. Definitely not East (where I live) as there’s so much choice there

Wish the place does well though. Would eat there if there’s decent veggie options

Yeah I could see it doing well more outside of Central, central like if they had gone Islington, Brixton. I dunno maybe Shoreditch. Hoxton it would fit aesthetically but like you said theres similar type set ups there

Any of y'all pissed at the whole questioning of Nas placement on top 5 lists just because of this Jerreau of Rap track?

Nas is the undisputed GOAT and no one comes close to dude. That's just a fact in MY eyes, and so anyone's placement of Nas in rankings has become irrelevant to me (as I've matured lol).

With that said, the frustration stems from his last solo album dropping 7 years ago. So in a span of 7 long years where fans have been anticipating a follow-up to his critically acclaimed "Life is Good" album, we've gotten a 7-track EP, sloppily put together in a couple of weeks, and an unorthodox single for a HIGHLY anticipated Lost Tapes 2 album. The frustration is understandable.

nope. The album has 16 tracks. The Al Jarreau track is 1 :russ:... we already know the Statik track is fire from the snippet apparently. Mad high praise for that one and we ain't even heard it in full :mjlol: people are fugazi especially on the coli. Watch em switch back or get quiet after the album drop.

It's mainly jay stans trying to downplay Esco because they still mad he lost.
It's a mixture of trolls and people who haven't given a shyt about Nas music in nearly a decade. Nas hasn't really done anything since LiG. A weak Kanye album/EP, a dope Khaled song, and lots of Illmatic celebrations...that's it. Not surprising some young people are questioning why he's still considered great. In the same decade Hov has given multiple audiences projects they fukk with.

I hope and expect LT2 to turn the page on this disappointing era and lead up to another album "soon."

think Nas is saving a lot of songs for Lost Tapes 3... we already know of a bunch

so is his Def Jam contract up yet? I have a feeling once he's completely on Mass Appeal we should be getting more albums on a regular basis, but maybe that's wishful thinking

Nas signed a four album contract with Def Jam in January of 2006. The pact called for the first two albums (HHID and Untitled) to be jointly financed by Sony and Def Jam. The next two albums (Life Is Good and Nasir) were Def Jam only albums. Distant Relatives was released by Universal Republic and did not count against Nas’s album deal. The OG Lost Tapes 2 that was to be released in 2011 was a point of contention because Nas wanted it to be treated as an official album and DJ was like “Nah”.

My THINKING is that because this collection of songs is from the Def Jam vaults, a deal had to be struck where Lost Tapes 2 comes out via Def Jam, hence this being a Mass Appeal/Def Jam release.
