The existence of a third hasn’t been in question(I initially thought it was Amit hiding in his mind). I’m saying you’re looking for deep clues when it’s just surface level clues.

The show is making it a mystery surrounding the circumstances and inner workings of his mind.

Starting from Steven’s unreliable POV made it a mystery.

He didn’t say his mom bought him an apartment.

He said the apartment was his mom’s.

So either she lived in London 40 years ago as a teen (she doesn’t have an accent) or a married woman had an apartment in London while being married.

You aren’t the one parcing apart a line of dialogue to correlate worm to Jake and idiot to Steven even though it makes more sense to be he’s insulting Steven with both?

But he doesn't say "I don't know what happened" he says "Steven what did you do?"

Right before that scene it's Marc who dissociates not Steven.

So if there's no third personality then by the shows logic it had to have been Steven who killed those people.

But if that's the case then it's plot hole as just before that Marc has the same person at knife point, Steven takes over, doesn't kill him and runs away.

The show has also established that Khonshu cannot physically control mark outside of the god realm.
