Dumars: 6x all star, 3x all-nba, 5x all-defensive, 88-89 finals MVP(HOF
Rodman: 2x all star, 2x all-nba, 8x all-defensive, 7x rebounding champ, 2x DPOY(HOF)
Dantley: 6x all star, 2x all-nba, 2x scoring champ(HOF)
Aguirre: 3x all star

And that's why I have him ranked top 2 in my alltime pg discussion. Only one without a glaring weakness too. Everything you want from a 1. The prototype imo
Dude is kinda overrated to keep it a buck. To say he beat those players when his team beat their teams it just shows everything wrong with how the game is talked about. The Pistons beat the Celtics, Lakers, and Bulls. Magic was injured in that Finals series.

When the Pistons beat the Bulls it’s just that Michael didn’t have help. Isiah didn’t beat fukking Michael. He didn’t outplay Michael. Michael got his while Isiah shot under 40% and Dumars was leading the team in scoring and guarding Michael.

They put bullshyt qualifiers on it like “top 50 teammate”. His team was stacked he played with multiple All-Stars and Hall of Famers.

They were the best defensive team of their time and they was one of the first teams ever to use a stretch 5.

I think it’s one of those “he was the heart and soul of the team” kind of things. KD was a 2x FMVPs but Steph still gets credited for being the more important player. Isiah was essentially that guy. He was “the pistons”

TYRONE GA!
I think Magic gets off easy on this one

I don’t think MJ had as much influence on that decision as him

:manny: just my opinion

to find out it was Magic that was the person leading the charge to keep Zeke off was straight :ohhh: status
most of us always believed it was Mike.

He's right

At the end of the day, Zeke dishing out L's to Mike, Bird, Pippen and Magic cost him a spot. Chuck Daly was wrong too smh. It's still ridiculous Stockton had a spot instead of Zeke.

Laettner spot was Zeke's, but since they had to have a college dude, def agree Stockton should have sat down.

Steph used to kill too and it was understood Steph was the engine of the team and the attention he (and Klay) drew opened up the floor for KD. Remember when the Cavs gave up a KD fastbreak dunk instead of a Steph 3?

Steph wasn’t out here shooting under 40%.
