Great documentary. As someone who has never watched basketball this is all new to me.

Why was sitting out such a big deal. Wasn't too clear to me.

If you talking about the game it’s because they felt that they were more of a team that year but by doing it Pippen was just like Mike and that year was very special for them it lowkey fractured them but it still would’ve hurt Pippen anyway similar to Kobe against the Suns when he stopped shooting and they lost

Isaiah didn’t like MJ from the start and its looonggg been known that he organized a freeze out of MJ during the 84 all star game. Remember Isaiah is FROM Chicago and he didn’t like the fact that MJ was given the red carpet treatment when he got there. Isaiah is wayyyyy more ruthless and competitive than people know. Isaiah fell out with almost every superstar player in the league because he was the leader of the Bad Boys and was on the front line of “roughing up” players

Lowkey they along with the league helped to erase their imprint on the game because Isaiah was the first little man to win and his team used small ball

People use the Larry Holmes example of oh you were between Ali and Tyson but it isn’t right a lot of those guys never got chances to coach in the league look at Bill Laimbeer in the WNBA three championships and almost another one this year

Similar to the Nets but I think that’s more of a ABA vs NBA Dr.J got three rings but only one NBA ring

Its crazy because the kind of executive krause was then gm's get praised for now. If krause was able to pull off the things he wanted to do the bulls wouldn't have had the down years after the 2nd jordan retirement he would have set up the core for the future using pippen as an asset. Now we understand that

In the 90s you wouldn't understand that because how teams were constructed and how the brand of a player associated with a franchise values were different. Back then it was a value to a player spending their career on one team. Now if a team sucks or the city is not big market a player is encouraged to leave. From that standpoint it was hard to sell the fans the good of trading pippen. So he became the bad guy

And still they should have given pippen a new deal.
What kind of bullshyt caping are you doing right now for Krause of all people? The Bulls still won three titles after Jordan came back. Why play the what if game? There is no guarantee the Bulls would've won those titles if he traded Pippen.

Show me one GM that significantly changed a championship team up and was praised for it. When your team is winning titles you keep running it back because there is no guarantee of getting back to that high of a level again. So yeah the Bulls may not have been as bad for as long with the trades but most likely wouldn't have walked away with three titles either which is way more important.

Both things can be true. Krause made some good decisions with the Bulls and deserves credit for building the dynasty but also let his ego get in the way and fukked it up trying to prove that "organizations win championships" and running off the GOAT a year or two before he was ready to leave.

One last thing about episode 8:

:dahell: @ the way it ended. It should have went to the credits immediately after MJ was in the locker room holding the ball. That closing shot would have been powerful. Especially as it’s the last moments before the final 2 episodes. People would have been FIENDIN for the next 7 days. Instead it ends with the next scene with Reggie Miller. :wtf:

Incredible doc so far. I haven't watched the leaks, I'll wait until the episodes when they air.

I just don't like how they tried too hard to make Jerry Krause the villain. that motherfukker built 2 championship teams. He wasn't a perfect human being by any means, but shyt everybody on that Bulls team had a flawed character, but they all got the job done. so did Krause.
NO. Krause is the villain. And no he would NOT get praise now. This dude was trying to split up a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM. WHY??? The goal of a sports team is to win championships. PERIOD. Why are you getting in disputes with the coach??? Why are you trying to trade your second best player??? When you are winning like that, championships, setting regular season win records, what the FUKK do you even have to talk about with the coach??? Other than “Hey Phil how’s the family?” Or “Hey Phil, how about those Bears/White Sox/Blackhawks/Cubs?” No. This little fukk has to massage his own ego. Make up for getting picked on as a short, fat lame dude growing up. Maybe feeling a little threatened by all these tall athletes at the job. There is no excuse. If you are the Knicks GM then yeah you should be interfering. Not when you have one of the greatest dynasties ever.

there is literally no case for anyone being better than Jordan. he's cookin in any era, period....
If people want to put Kareem as the GOAT that's fine by me, but I stand by MJ being the GOAT. This re-emergence of MJ has got Nick Wright and Shannon Sharpe looking like unbearable dumbasses on tv now.
