Incredible doc so far. I haven't watched the leaks, I'll wait until the episodes when they air.
I just don't like how they tried too hard to make Jerry Krause the villain. that motherfukker built 2 championship teams. He wasn't a perfect human being by any means, but shyt everybody on that Bulls team had a flawed character, but they all got the job done. so did Krause.
Krause did a lot of good shyt he should have just waited until the team lost to break it up.
Michael just hated the guy because he didn’t do exactly what he wanted and just his nature and how he went with things.
-trades his boy Oakley for Bill Cartwright. Cartwright would man the middle during the first three titles and was known as a Ewing stopper with him basically having been his OG on the Knicks.
-drafts Brad Sellers over Michael’s boy from Duke, Johnny Dawkins. Dawkins had a better career and was more of what the Bulls needed as a point but from an executive standpoint it’s tough to pass on a prospect like Brad Sellers who was praised for his ball handling and shooting as a 7’0 SF. Mike would go at Brad super hard in practice and he and the Bulls were upset at the selection.
-Krause drafts two gems in Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant
-Krause signs Phil Jackson he brings in the Triangle and zen
-Michael complains about Krause not bringing in his idol from North Carolina, Walter Davis at the back end of his career. He says if it was up to him the team would be much stronger and jokes about Brad Daugherty and Kenny Smith being his acquisition targets.
-Krause courts a young Toni Kukoc in ‘92 Olympics to Mike and Pippen’s dislike. Kukoc ends up being a 6MOY and crucial contributor to three titles, even takes GW shots over Pippen in playoffs.
-Mike retired and Krause brings in Pete Myers, Ron Harper, and Steve Kerr. Pip leads team to 55 wins and ECSF.
-Krause brings in controversial Rodman who was huge especially in ‘96 Finals
