So I started playing this game again about the last 2 weeks ago..... from my 3 year hiatus I was on chapter 17 and just got to chapter 31.


HOLY shyt is this really the end of the game?

There are still some story missions that you gotta do regarding quiet and eli. There's also the replay of the prologue which shows you different cutscene to give you the "real" ending. But other than that the game was just unfinished breh

Holy shyt..... I'm feeling a little bit of disappointment.

This game dropped in 2015, I'm just getting to the point I'm at now and discovering its to a degree some BS? I dont even know what to say. Like I dont really like the fact that I'm "forced" to play some levels over again, its just their harder.

And being at the time I stop checking for news on the game so I wouldnt be spoiled, but the game aint complete?

Game was pretty much unfinished. If you followed the games development, there was alot of stuff that was cut from the game.

You were supposed to be able to visit other ppls mother base, there was supposed to be co op, you were supposed to be able to take that mech out on missions, animals were supposed to play a larger role etc.

It was supposed to be a console version of peace walker, which had alot of the same concepts.

On the story front, there's a small documentary that details mission 51 where you chase down liquid and fight him and the metal gear on some island. It was supposed to be finished but Konami cut the development short so we just got story boards and what not.

After 31, that preview of Chapter 2 where you see this cutscene of all this shyt take place. You meaning to tell me NONE of that happens an ultimately its just a tease due to shyt being cut out the game?

Like I'm really trynna find my motivation for even playing this shyt anymore. I was hyped that just 2 days ago I learned of the wormhole extraction that I was about to go crazy on the battlefield with. But now I'm feeling like "fukk this shyt"

I left my game on while at the mother base waiting the 2 hours+ for that to develop

But the more Im reading about this, not even feeling like its worth it

The game is unfinished and no, you don’t have to replay all of the missions. The second chapter sets it up that way but you don’t have to if you don’t want to. The game is pretty much done after the first chapter. The collectors edition comes without a blu Ray that explains what the third chapter was supposed to be, complete with unfinished cut scenes.
Kojima and Konami went to way over the budget and how long development was taking. In the end, the game was cut short and shipped unfinished.
It’s one of the biggest disappointments in the history of gaming, especially considering that the real game was actually supposed to start at chapter 3, with big boss fighting liquid, taking metal gear, and establishing outer heaven in Zanzibar. The real ending would have served as the intro to the OG metal gear on NES and ultimately closed the entire story.

Microsoft needs to buy the IP from Konami.

Money is not an issue with Microsoft. They already are on a spending spree for studios for the next generation of consoles.

Imagine a new Metal Gear with a big budget from Microsoft/Xbox .
