Well they knew about this imoSo what's happening now?
So they’ve been planning this for a while I think
They’re debating on whether shuri can be the lead or not probably
They can still do stories set in Wakanda with the BP mantel being passed on to Shuri, or M'Baku, or Nakia, or Eric, depending on what kind of story they want to tell. But respecting the memory/legacy of T'Chala/Chadwick needs to be front and center of any story they decide to do. I'd boycott if they ever even thought of recasting T'Challa.

There is so much retroactive shyt we gotta go through now. How long did coogler and feige know? Etc
I don't think he would do it. But if they wanted they could build in a redemption arc for Killmonger (if they bring him back to life) and make him the new BP. But I doubt Michael B would do that. He most likely wants to have Chadwick's legacy honored, without taking the mantle.

It's either recast, let someone else take up the mantle and say T'Challa passed away off screen, or be done with the BP series. All three will be very unpopular choices,
