I meant literally, the said in the commentary or an interview, the black panthers role in that film was reduced in favor of spiderman when he became part of the MCU.
Nick Fury was never planned to be in that film. You might be referencing the comics.
because if you watch the movie and pay attention to the dialogue, you would understand that shuri is simply fulfilling a a role tchalla does not have time for.Man I know that.
But it wasnt made obvious nor was it emphasized to those who arent familiar with the character breh. Anyone watching could have assumed that she was the brains and he was the braun so to speak. Idk why youre reacting like im killing the film or im attacking Boseman's BP. It was a dope film but they whiffed on a few things.

I get what you mean, you dont want to make him OP. But he does have some skin in the tech game and that is a massive part of his character. Even if they had one scene of him and Shuri nerding it up for a few minutes it would suffice.

Yeah, kinda messed up. I get wanting more female heroes in movies and more female representation. But Black men are also underrepresented in this genre.
He and Blade are the only two black men in the MCU with their own movie deals. Falcon is cool, but he is never gonna be an attraction on their level. Only other black male character they could build large franchise around is Luke Cage, but i don't even know if they have any future plans with him in the MCU and i'm not a fan of race bending just to fill a quota, because the originals characters are cool. Rather have MIles Morales, than cast a Black Peter Parker.
For black women, i think Storm has more franchise appeal, than Shuri.
Quoting again to address my doubts though.
I'm thinking that if this does happen, it's more in a narrative sense. Meaning, they don't make Shuri the star of the movie. Just the leader of Wakanda.
Doing this would free up Black Panther story wise to take part in more adventures with the avengers, instead of being in Wakanda for every movie.

Only recently has Shuri been smarter than BP. That's MCU Shuri currently in the comics (they don't even need her), rather than 616 pre-Coates Shuri. Pre-Coates, Shuri was a brash, hot-headed, overachiever, wanting to prove she was worthy of the BP mantle. Hell, that really was the only reason she was created. The only other thing she being shown to possess was a gifted strategic mind, that was still being honed in the field of battle. MCU Shuri definitely doesn't need to be BP, nor should they go that route again.
