Yeah, that great value CGI in BP1 was :francis:

No excuse for that shyt when you own ILM
Supposedly reshot the fight scene 6 weeks before release or before they could lock it in.
True but they had the top talents working on IW/Endgame while BP got the scraps visual departments. Now that BP has shown to be the biggest solo superhero of all time along with being a worldwide cultural phenomenon, critical darling, and a multi Oscar winner along with them not making any avengers movies for awhile he's become top priority. Expect Coogler to get the finest of effect teams this time around.

I just wanna know what the original fight scene looked like. I think I low key would rather see what that was like. Cause it might not have been as flashy, but probably wasn't as flawed either (CGI)

There was three years between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight and we all know how THAT turned out.

Marvel giving Coogler the time he needs to craft a classic to a cultural landmark first film is a blessing and shows that they truly care about Black Panther and his elevated position amongst the MCU elite. With no Iron Man or Captain America there are two HUGE vacancies for the shared universe’s tentpole releases. Marvel is basically handing Coogler the keys and saying “Black Panther got next” probably alongside Captain Marvel as THE leaders of the MCU going forward. Hence the May release date.

ANYBODY complaining about the wait time doesn’t want to see Black Panther truly succeed and needs to STFU and go cry in the DC thread:camby:
To be fair Black Widow and GOTG 2 had/have May releases as well...

I hope they do treat it like its the big release date. However, I'm more interested in what kind of time they spend on the movie. The Russos worked on Infinity War for a 1 year and a half. That allowed them to polish things up. Coogler worked on BP for less than a year. So lets hope he gets the same time when they start and when in post.
There's not a single movie in the MCU on par with TDK and likely never will be so you can dead all that :heh:

I think Black Panther legit could be

I think I told @Ironman a while back....if they let Coogler film in the same gritty style as Creed and in Africa :ehh:

If Coogler knows the villain he needs to come out and just announce it. All this Namor talk is only adding more hype to something that might not be true. Announce it soon so he won't feel pressure to add Namor (if thats not his intention).

BP2 is gonna have the cultural impact that part 1, which was a major driving force for the film and the success, so they pretty much have to go huge and do Namor. You know damn well the internet is ready to nitpick the living shyt out of the sequel. A lot of the flaws of the first one are ignored.

What? People bring up the 3rd Act CGI, Action, and T Challa's portrayal to try to downplay the film all the time. It's already one of the most nitpicked films ever. Now if you want to talk about a film whose many flaws are ignored then look no further than TDK (and I love the movie).
