This happened in the comics, not sure why everyone is up in arms. Namor pulls up on Wakanda and then Wakanda spins the block on Atlantis which may or may not happen in the 3rd movie.

That still a great run. The success of Avengers Infinity War/Endgame, BP1, and Far From Home, have tainted expectations of what comic movies movies be making. Getting a billion for a release is rare and monumental. 1 Bil shouldn't be the expectation for every major release. With a 250 mil budget 860 mil is still a very profitable movie.

Not just tainted Marvel movies but movies in general nikkas be thinking in absolutes its either box office bust or masive box office blockbuster with no nuance for something in between. Which is bullshyt tbh

This is automatically better than Wakanda Forever.

And war is war and losses happen because it makes for a good story, but to show Wakanda getting slapped around and losing prominent people (Like Queen Ramonda) without any serious military push back is ridiculous and it shows that Coogler doesn't know what he's doing nor does he respect the source material or the franchise.

Because fighting Wakanda is supposed to be like fighting people with magic given their technological capabilities. Instead he drags them down to the level of countries he understands to weaken them.

Someone like Antoine Fuqua or F Gary Gray might well do a better job.

And like I mentioned previously a low cost Black Panther cartoon from 2010 on BET of all places showed T'Challa and Wakanda better than Coogler and his 250 million dollar budget movie did.

T'Challa and Shuri took on and defeated the following invaders: Radioactive Man, Black Knight, Juggernaut (!), the USA , Klaw, and even another rival african country that tried to invade as well. All without losing his mom or sister for some cheap emotional punch to the audience because the director doesn't know what they're doing.

So it can be done it's just that the people in charge don't care.

I have that run...before and after it. He flooded Wakanda yes. That's pretty much the only thing that matches. Like I said, loosely based at best. If you're that curious, go read it. Namor vs BP is a fairly recent event...from AvX to Time Runs Out.
