Marvel just needs to do a better job with the spoilers. With End Game they did it.

Too many chefs in the kitchen. And with some movies like MoM, they put too much in the trailer when they didn’t need to.

Marvel is at a point where they don’t really need to do a teaser and 2 trailers followed with a bunch of TV spots. I get doing it for new properties like Eternals and Chang Chi. But not for Spider-Man .

I worked on Endgame knew a ton of stuff months ahead of people but kept it to myself. Like cap giving the shield to Sam, old man cap all that stuff was no surprise.

The only thing I'm happy I didn't see was the big battle thankfully the place I was working at didn't work on those scenes.

But Endgame was the last time they could truly keep things a secret. Now because they use so many effects houses its impossible for people to keep their mouth shut.

I do too. I have a feeling its Okoye in that suit not Shuri.

Okoye is a fan favorite is an amazing fighter has gone up against aliens and other superbeings and more than held her own. Imagine a fighter of her skill on that Herb

Marvel is well known for filming two versions of scenes to throw off leakers. Or changing a shytload in post.

This makes a lot of sense.My mind keeps telling me it has to be Okoye.She's already a beast.You give her the herb & suit, shyt could get gruesome.End of the day, I think we're going to see all the most prominent female characters wearing their own suit.All female Power Ranger squad.

Instead of saying BP died from an illness, I would have written the script to say he was lost forever in the Multiverse after Dr. Strange screwed things up and was unable to be discovered. Then I would have had a different BP from another universe take his place and appear at the climax of Namor's attack in this movie.

Really wish Okoye were the one to take the mantle. She (or should I say, the actress that plays her) is more believable in tense, combat, leadership situations.

They been promoting the character too hard



With Gor, there was promo because it was Bale playing the character. I can’t think of another “villain” besides Thanos that got this much promo.

They are basing this on people bytching and complaining about not recasting.

Killmonger had some pretty good promo.

Namor is a pretty prominent character in the comics and this is his first big screen appearance..ever.. so of course he's going to be a big deal. He's always been sort of an anti-hero/neutral party in the comics, and Huerta already said that's pretty much the role he will play in the film. So he maybe an antagonist, but not the traditional villain.

Because I think it'll be more like No Way Home.

It's not making NWH numbers, because that was peak Spider-man and Spidey is waay more popular as a character and a franchise. If the film is great, then it could make around 700 like the first, but it has to actually be good. With the way the general consensus has landed on mediocre for the last few MCU projects, it's going to be interesting to see how BO is going to fare transitioning into Phase 5.

hard to tell since the first one had a lot of rewatches which brought it to the 700m domestic total
I know someone who saw this in theaters 8 times
without that rewatch factor it performs like a normal marvel sequel but like 20% higher because of the black panther brand
