Statements like this just show ignorance. Tom Holland has been the MCU Spiderman since the beginning. The other two played him in completely different series that aren't part of this universe. There was zero continuity - each time they started over from the beginning with a different director and the entire cast was different. Is that what you wanted to do here?

If they had just recast, then do you recast all the roles and start over? Can't do that or you lose continuity with the rest of the MCU.

i am firmly in the recast T'challa camp, but i much rather Shuri remains BP than it going to M'Baku imo ... M'Baku's tribes whole thing is that they don't worship the Panther God

also still not feelin' the secret son shyt unless they plan on pulling a story where a future older him comes back to be BP ... in which case, how is that less convoluted than a multi-verse T'challa variant lol)

of course i'm still excited to see the film, just kinda optimistically cautious ... i understand not having t'challa in this one, but how they end it or whether they close the door on that completely will dictate how i feel about the direction they will go moving forward

Completely false. Even if the leak was true, it only said that Peter Parker had to be white and straight (along with 30 other specifications), but other Spiderman can be any race or sexuality so long as it happened in an existing Marvel plot. Which is no different than Black Panther.

I actually like this plot. basically what i expected. People are still gonna say it's trash because Black panther dies. but he already been in like 4 movies and a show, so him being replaced is in line with every other avenger, Cap, Ironman, Hulk, Black Widow, and haweye etc are all being replaced as well.

Ironman had 3 solo's
Captain America had 3 solo's

Black panther was not a side character like Hawkeye an black widow, even ant-man is about to three solo movies so wtf are you talking about when black panther "t-challa" only had one solo movie?
Was barely in endgame and minor in infinity war, he was really only in civil war for a decent amount of screen time
