Its not about who would care or wouldn’t care its about contracts, scheduling, and availability. If he’s signed on for sequels to Aqua-Man and any additional appearances in the DCEU then that could conflict with filming & promoting Black Panther 2. Remember making movies, ESPECIALLY big tent pole blockbusters, is a much more intensive and calculated business than pointing at an actor and saying “HE’S PERFECT!” And shyt just goes into production. Daniel Kaluuya had to drop out of BP2 due to filming NOPE, and he wasn’t even a main character. Thats why you rarely see these big budget movie star actors crossing over into other big budgeted movies because scheduling is hell

I dont see his character being a main stay in Aqua man, he might as well sign now (theoretically) so he can be killed off lol. Then ramp up for post BP2

Without Blade we wouldn’t have even gotten a BP film. :what:
My nikka, I don’t care. Y’all acting like casuals connected all this shyt. Plus I was like 10 when blade dropped. :dead:

A whole 20 years later, it felt like we finally got a black super hero to match the hype of Ironman cap and all the others

This is legitimately one of the most ignorant things ever written on this site. I’m really shocked
How is it ignorant? Y’all one, assume everyone posting in here is a marvel superfan, two, highly involved in following Hollywood, three old enough to have cared about blade when it dropped. Like stfu.

Blade did not ring out as a traditional superhero flick, not when your basis to that date was Superman Batman and wonder woman and X-men shows :ld:

i didn’t know blade was supposed to be a superhero until recently :yeshrug: , shyt felt like a random Wesley snipes fighting vampires flick, I didn’t enjoy the first and never saw the sequels…blade ain’t hit no where near where black panther did as far as establishing a tier one black superhero. storm was the only other but they made her a second or third thought in the movies compared to her in the early 90’s comics and cartoon
You depress me. 😔

I knew when I saw this, shyt was about to go left. nikkas have no patience for Blade disrespect. I'm on 50 PPP and this fukkery is more than half the current page. :deadrose:

I understand what you intended though, it just didn't hit with you like that and he isn't a traditional hero.

Yeah the rumoured baby son storyline is lame. As without time travel hijinks how is the son even going to be a factor anytime soon?

I feel Marvel really wrote themselves into the corner with this. I feel for Coogler. They were close to production and decisions had to be made. I feel his made the wrong one or it was made for him. And if this film does bad critically they'll throw him under the bus. Remember the first movie made over a billion dollars.

There should have respectfully been a recast. Instead it seems they thought they had a compromise/ winner with a black female fronted movie. Blue tick were happy as hell about a female black Panther. Now even they've changed their mind

:russ:

I do wonder how they are going to handle the press tour with Letitia Wright? I can already see multiple questions to her about her anti Vax stance. And if she's the lead, they can't hide her away

Also this will be a big test Chadwick was a star. Marvel are hoping that it was the premise that brought people to the cinema. Naw you needed that linchpin that everything was built around.

Who the hell wanted to see them make a Black Panther franchise about T'Challa's son? :what:

This would be like The Boys tv show writing out Anthony Star's Homelander and replacing him with his son after season 2 :mjlol:

Even though I didn't like his direction in the first movie. I sorta feel sorry for Coogler. Disney and Marvel put out a LIE that he was responsible for T'Challa not being recast so he can take the heat, as if Disney shareholders and Marvel execs would put that decision in the hands of a damn director :mjlol::duck:

Plus his son would be like 7 or 8 years old at the most. Nobody ain’t going to wait a decade for that nikka to take the mantle. :heh:

Marvel is really screwing the franchise up by not recasting and they going to learn the hard way once this shyt flops.

Wouldn’t an exposal come from someone fronting like they’re a fan/have all the knowledge? :dahell:

My first post said I watched that shyt once as a kid, thought it was a vampire movie, didn’t like it, never saw the sequels and am not deep into marvel or Hollywood…yet I’m exposed :dead:

Man, sit down
