TBH it would have been better to pivot to a Disney+ show ending with Wakanda in shambles from Namor + The Rumored appearance pulling strings, then BP 2 movie being Return of the King.

More and more it looks like they never had a plan to develop T'Challa's character in BP sequels.
Seems like his sequels were always going to be low key platforms for Namor, Doom etc. It explains why they didn't delay the film after Chadwick died; they gotta introduce Namor on schedule.
Also since all heroes have female counterparts in phase 4, they probably already planed to put a female in a BP suit for this movie before Chadwick died.
