T’Challa was inspiring faith and confidence in Wakandan people after beating W’Kabi. You didn’t see how happy and proud of him everyone was? Meanwhile Shuri was....complaining about her corset:mjlol:

You talk of the Lion King like

1). Simba wasn’t being primed to take over as King BY Mufasa before he died. You had scenes of Mufasa showing Simba the Pride Lands, teaching him about the circle of life. Impressing upon him what it means to BE a ruler. Shuri bas gotten none of that development, why? Because her MCU counterpart was NOT supposed to rule nor did she have any skill nor desire to.

Your Lion King correlation is faulty and full of holes.

The people just hated Mbaku, but there were clearly questions about his tenure. Why?because they didn't think he was ready, because his fathers sudden death forced him into that position. Sounds familiar?Shuri would be forced into Tchallas position due to his untimely death. Mufasas lessons were falling on deaf ears with young Simba as he thought he had plenty of time to learn from Mufasa. Shuri would be in the same position as Tchalla was,of not feeling ready or worthy to take the mantle. Only difference is Tchalla didn't feel worthy for reasons other than his fighting ability. He almost got his ass beat by Mbaku and Killmonger mollywhopped him,so his fighting skills was suspect too for someone "groomed for this":mjlol:" .Perhaps Shuri would feel doubt about her fighting, but would turn to what she knows and kill em with the tech:wow:. I guess yall missed the part where she came back in the end with the twin cannons and had Killmonger on his knees. More than Tchalla had done to Killmonger up to that point in combat.

Plus lets not act like Tchalla was univervisally believed in either. The doubt showed when he failed to recapture the vibranium and bring Klaw to justice. Lets not forget, not everybody was that torn up when Tchalla got his ass beat and Killmonger took over. But I'm not sure why I'm defending Shuri when I'm mostly wanting Killmonger as lead if they are going to make some shytty new pick for Tchalla out of desperation. She would be the co lead, not carrying the entire movie. I don't want to see a full on Shuri movie either. Not sure why yall won't just say that, because you can't say there isn't a story there. Not based on the reasons you guys are giving.

They've been building it up though. They've milked characters, until they couldn't anymore. Thor is getting 4 movies, the 4th is where the mantle gets passed. Captain America had 3 movies, mantle got passed in Avengers. Pepper had an entire arc in IM3, that included her getting into the armor, AND getting powers. War Machine (another replaced actor) got a tease in 1, donned the armor in 2 (and kept it), and been WM ever since. Ant-Man and The Wasp, in the first movie she's already a fighter, and wanted to be Ant-Man/Wasp. That's what they needed for Shuri to assume the mantle instantly in the second. There is 0 buildup for Shuri to become BP. In the comics, the entire reason she was created was to challenge the throne. She was a stubborn, brash, fighter, but also a strategist that believed that she could be BP and rule Wakanda. This girl is just a techie sidekick. There's nothing wrong with that, and I was one that thought they should tease Shuri vying for the throne in the first movie, before it came out and she turned out to be Riri.

As for Killmonger, he's a villain. The Mouse is not going to rest a franchise, and cornerstone of their billy empire on a villain. And he only resonated with the black audience. They'd go with M'Baku long before bringing Killmonger back, because M'Baku has already been painted as a hero/ally. Chadwick wasn't some A-Lister, he was a good actor, that had been doing biopics for the mouse. To think that there are no other actors where Chadwick was at the time, is asinine. Plus, these BP movies aren't exactly being fast-tracked. By the time this comes out, people will have long moved on from Chadwick's death.

You guys know damn well how peoples fighting skills get fast tracked in movies. If Shuri just were to start showing some fighting ability out of the blue,it wouldn't exactly be a suprise. She's surrounded by women warriors and perhaps she picked up a few things. They really never showed that she couldn't fight in either film she was in. We just know she wasn't anywhere near Tchalla or Killmonger level. Would it be a suprise if she could handle herself a little? To me it would be less of a good story line there if she was already ready like Tchalla was. Tchalla was actually boring for me as a character based on the fact he folded like a cheap suit when it came to letting outsiders into Wakanda. I thought that would be his primary struggle or conflict he would have in these films. I thought he would be the unfriendly hero who played by his own rules and would have to learn to trust and work with others. But he really only had half hearted conflict with a couple of Wakandans and trusted every damn body almost immediately:snoop:.

grain of salt stuff, but this guy has a pretty extensive resume and i assume he's a big star in Mexico? if he's the lead villain, who could he be?

i imagine people will say "NAMOR!" b/c he's vaguely...tannish?

People are speculating Namor & also White Tiger

The mexican actor is probably going to play Achebe.

I think he might be Kraven the Hunter.
Jonathan David Washington might be the new Green Lantern or they might make him a black Mr Fantastic I don't think he's going to be BP

Kraven is at Sony though. Coolger wanted to use him before and got shot down.

This is pure speculation but I think they made a deal with Sony because I think they're looking at Keanu Reeves for Namor and he wouldn't want to co-star in somebody else's sequel.

White tiger doesn't make sense because that character is not a villain. Plus the character is to much like BP in appearance.:yeshrug:

There has been speculation surrounding him for roles such as Moonknight, Adam Worlock and even Wolverine but you think he's to old for Namor ?:dahell:

Youtubers arent valid. The truth is, Keanu has been in talks with the MCU since AOU. Often times the film commitment is the reason many actors wont do the roles or aren' t considered. Age is a factor..I dont think he fits physically to play warlock either
