I feel for canelo, too. It's obviously GBP only wanted to cash in and keep riding that gravy train. Canelo definitely wasn't ready for that fight, tho he put up a good effort

Yeah... shyt really was on some "the great white hype" marketing... :smh:

I honestly think that may have played a role in Oscar going back into rehab the same week of your companies biggest fight in nearly a decade. Maybe guilt was settling in that he basically manipulated another latino fighter into believing he was better then he really is & saw throughout his camp that he wasn't on Floyd's level... idk... just seems like strange timing...

I honestly believe that shyt breh. On a boxing board, I basically said that Canelo was being lead to the guillotine and he didn't even know it. Oscar didn't want to be there to have to answer for this shyt.

114-114, 116-112, 117-111.
Even when they cheat, Mayweather still wins. 114-114 is just ridiculous, but the 116-112 score is being super generous as well.
I'm surprised at Floyd's power. He doesn't have knock out power but he has enough to make bigger guys respect him.

fukked up they would do that to a 23 year old. Maybe Canelo really thought he could take him, tho?

I think Floyd still has knockout power. Canelo REFUSED to open up to Floyd offensively, which made it harder for Floyd to really land something big. I credit Canelo with having really good defense and being a smart fighter. His plan just didn't work. Had he opened up more, Floyd would have picked him a part and probably would have KOed him.

:dwillhuh:

When was the last time Floyd KO'd somebody? Not counting that fluke ass Victor Ortiz shyt where Ortiz basically gave up and got hit with his hands down.

Doug Fischer from Ring Magazine scored it 116-113!! And these guys are the so called "experts". Roger was right, "A lot of people don't know shyt about boxing."

He had Canelo by 9th round knockout. Floyd called him a bytch over a decade ago and he's had his panties in a bunch every since. Look at his twitter and him saying CA-NE-LO!

See, Floyd calling him a bytch is appropriate.

Doug Fischer is cool with the journalism, but dude's scoring of fights is where I draw the line. I remember this nikka saying Morales/Raheem was a draw when that was one of the clearest signs of a schooling that I've ever seen. Then he tried to take it back later saying that the fight looked closer ringside than it was when he watched it at home... :what:

He also thinks Sergio Mora deserves the win in every close fight for some reason. He definitely has his favorites when it comes to scoring fights. I thought Canelo would do a little better than what he did, but there's no way you can give him more than 2 rounds in that fight. Having him win 4 or 5 rounds let alone the draw is just :snoop:

Doug Fischer has hated Floyd for years now. If you go back in time, every fighter has "had the tools to give him his first defeat", he's said that constantly. He's an "Expert" at floyd hating. So his name is null & void when it comes to a mayweather fight to be honest.

I think Floyd Plans on eating off Canelo too, which is why he didn't go for the KO. I honestly seen many instances when floyd could have really flattened that dude. Alot of people say it was Canelo playing possum, but I doubt it. It was Canelo catching his breath. I just think floyd respected him and respected the fact that lil was humble (up until the weigh in) and didn't want to crush him too bad. LOL, I dunno. It sounds stannish, yes, but thats my take. That or he didn't want to hurt his hands, knowing he'd have to put in extra work on a larger man.

Co-sign 100% here is what I posted on Boxingscene about the fight and Ocar rehab

This, the fight was a undressing Floyd toyed with and stripped naked the perception that Canelo was some great fighter he's not even elite, he's not a 4 division champ like Guerrero, doesnt have that heart doesnt have that skill, he got undressed with the world watching, a old man giving the young big boy a whipping buzzing a fighter 15 pounds heavier at will........

Canelo is done IMO I dont see where he goes from here a blown up WW walked him down and hurt him at will, he gets mauled at 160, ****ttt he has been avoiding JMW still Floyd is not a JMW, if he stays at 154 them JMW will want to test his chin, if lil Floyd could put a hurting and fear into him. The only thing I see for him is staying 154 and continuing to pick on WW, but I feel the Thurman's/Guererro's of the world still beat him.........

Shame Oscar wasnt even there to have his back and cheer him on, although they say Oscar is in rehab, I'm sure he just hide his face in preparation for the inevitable, of Floyd beating his star, he could have went any time why before boxing biggest event......

Though Canelo is a decent young fighter the marketing for him was superb and some of the best I have ever seen. They actually had people thinking he was a legit threat and I had plenty of dudes telling me the past few months that he would knock out Floyd. The same cat who struggled with Austin Trout is the same dude who many thought would beat Floyd. I learned over a decade ago to stop falling for the hype and the promoters hyping up there fighters. I go by what I see in the ring and from the start I knew Canelo had no chance against Floyd.

I would like to see Mayweather vs. Lara, but it will probably Alexander/Khan winner.

Garcia move up face Luis Collazo and than take a bigger fight

Matthysse interim fight for WBC title vs Hank Lundy

Ishe vs K9 II in Vegas

Carlos Molina vs. Austin Trout

Theophane randomly as a b-side on Friday Night Fights

Cano vs. Victor Ortiz?
