I didn't know this chick was ramblings were about Joker's sister. I never visited the hospital enough to hear her whole story. :yeshrug:

This game is GOAT for shyt like this. I've been playing this trilogy for 6 years now and as recent as my last playthrough I've seen new shyt.

I can wait til 2020 for them to do a proper Mass Effect.

:mjlol: Oh, shyt...it's already 2018.

Mass Effect Design Challenge Begins In Celebration of N7 Day
Mass Effect lovers a chance to design their very own custom T-shirts, wallets, messenger bags, and art prints for the upcoming annual N7 Day. Selected designs will receive:

  • A limited edition set of Mass Effect Peripherals from Logitech
  • A gift package from BioWare
  • Commission on Sales
Designs must be submitted no later than October 25, 2018, with ratings being open until November 9, 2018.

Participants of the challenge will use Fan Forge, an open gallery for artists to submit their fan art and ideas involving their favorite properties. It’s a place where design ideas can be shared and rated by the community for the chance to become actual licensed properties. The incentive of commission through wholesale and convention displays should be more than enough reason for fans of the series to throw their designs up.

Although the Logitech equipment the winner will receive is of an Andromeda design, sporting a sleek white and blue design, those participating in the challenge are not limited to the most recent title in the Mass Effect series.

Are there any artists out there willing to put their stuff up for review? Let us know what you’ve got down in the comments!

Priority: Earth’s Overhaul mod aims to fix Mass Effect 3’s ending
priority-earth-overhaul-mod-580x334.jpg

A group of Mass Effect modders are working on a project that will entirely overhaul the finale of the original trilogy. Priority: Earth – Overhaul Mod aims to fix not just the existence of the game’s controversial Catalyst, but the entirety of the climactic London mission. Fair warning, this article contains spoilers for Mass Effect 3.

I spoke with one of the mod’s creators, who goes by Orikon on Reddit and YouTube, about the motivation behind the project. They said that “like most people, I had issues with ME3’s ending. But when I say ‘ending’, I don’t mean just the Catalyst. It’s the final mission too.” That mission takes players to London, UK, but it’s an experience that let many fans of the series down.

Orikon says that “ME3 is a spectacular game […] and for the entire game, you’re building up to this big, large, battle. The whole story, everything you do, all the missions, decisions, allies…..it was all supposed to culminate in London.” Sadly, that didn’t really come off – Orikon says that “the problems with London are wide as an ocean. Story-wise it’s very poor, with a minimal amount of dialogue, almost no exciting custscenes, lazy writing, and plot holes so big you could fly Harbinger [a massive Reaper character] through them.”

“In terms of mission design, it’s even worse. The whole mission lacks any sense of excitement, urgency or closure. The two action scenes that do exist, are wasted due to a lack of music or ambient effects. Visual design is equally as bad. Due to console restrictions, Bioware had to chop London into a bunch of small parts, and load them separately as the player is moving through the city […] which resulted in the city feeling like several small, unrelated areas, connected together only through loading screens.

Orikon states that London is so disappointing that it retroactively impacts the entire trilogy. “When you start ME1, you know that London is going to be exactly the same” no matter what choices you make throughout all three games. That feeling of “boredom and confusion” led Orikon to join forces with another Mass Effect modder – Kinkojiro, the creator of the Expanded Galaxy Mod, before they eventually began solo work on the mod in September 2017.

The mod now aims “to improve upon Mass Effect 3’s final mission as much as technically possible.” Fixes range from tackling bugs and restoring cut content all the way up to recording brand-new dialogue and building new cutscenes into the level.

You can check out a trailer for the mod in the video above. Sadly, Priority Earth – Overhaul mod is currently not available for download. It’s been taken down due to a disagreement over music rights, and Orikon says he’s waiting for approval from Take-Two and EA before the mod can be reinstated to Nexusmods. Hopefully that won’t take too long, however, and once it’s back up, you’ll be able to download a beta version of the mod.

---------------------

Unfortunately this will probably never be released and end up in the same place as the 3D remaster of Chrono Trigger. Makes a good point with saying that even if you start a new play though of ME, London will always be the same.

I wish Bioware would take the initiative to remake at least the final mission or a remaster of Mass Effect 3. The modding community has taken care of the first two games. For what it's worth, a teaser trailer is posted below:

They went too far. The ending mission was very good.

I agree with the missions being segmented and that being weird.

Maybe, more dialogue, but, that's a taste thing. I never noticed an issue.

ME3 was the Reaper War game. I could deal with it being more action-y.

The big issue is the idea that the Catalyst would let you Control or Synthesis. Destroy should be the cannon ending in order to leave the galaxy open for more stories.

Synthesis is a MacGuffin.

Control was basically what the Reapers would want you to do.

IMO, the ending should've never been "Extended" and a real Mass Effect 4 should've dropped for the next generation and tied Shepard's story to a new character (Ryder) and made a post-Reaper world.

Just downloaded it....

I thought ME2 looked good on PC before.

It's funny, I bought an old PS3 to play ME2 on a small tv (1080p) and I was thinking how dated the game felt.

But, I took it back, played on PC and it was like a new game with the texture pack.

I'm not big on mods, but, I'll install this for 1 and 3 too

That is good to hear. I am waiting for them to complete the mod for ME3 before I use any mods.

The real test will be ME1. And I'm scared that won't run smooth.

I'm on an old ass laptop and 2 always looked good. But, I actually did a New Game+ and my Shepard looks :wow: :damn: status now.

Way more detailed...

The changes are pretty noticable. Like, Re-Master noticably.

That also made changes to some of the clothes;

But, again, the games looked great...

But it looks modern and worth the download. Plus, I turned some of the options off, but, this is at max resolution.

I got an old laptop, so, it effects the performance.

This dead ass franchise still being talked about. It wasn't THAT good. It was for it's time but hasn't really aged well.
