The changing of the guard and these good ol' boys not evolving with the times is probably the most prevalent theme of the show. Even Don, who's a little more progressive with things like feminism, still can't seem to get with it completely.

If anyone is dethroning Don, it's Peggy, she's got Don's tutelage and obviously the talent. She's also becoming more and more confident by the episode. Ginsberg doesnt have the swag to be Don, but he's a force to be reckoned with.

I forget what account it was for, but SCDP and the firm Peggy went to were competing for it last season i think and Don was offended by that dude that hired Peggy because he thought he was Don's competition even though he'd never accomplished anything. I remember agreeing with him, but thinking his inability to respect him would come back on him.

ginsberg has the swag brehs... he pitched the hell out of that stockings (i believe) campaign even though it wasnt what don decided on. that cinderalla horror story type add, they loved it and don was furious at the bar later...

Its crazy how shyt comes full circle in this series...I watched an older episode ("Flight One" Season 2 Episode 2) of Mad Men that had a lot of parallels with this one. The firm was going after American Airlines right after one of their planes crashed killing everyone on board. One of the people on the planes was Petes father. Duck Phillips had the position Pete has now...and he came into the office trying to convince Pete to come to a meeting with American...after they were pretty much responsible for his fathers death. Pete pretty much told him to fukk off like Joan did to him...but he ended up lowering his integrity (like Joan) and going to the meeting and whoring himself out in similar fashion to try and get the account. Really signified a change in the way his mindset was at the time. Joan bout to be :boss: status

That's a great point, I forgot about that episode. I thought, even for a scumbag, Pete was a little too quick to be receptive of the pimping Joan think. Lane was giving him the "grimey lil pimp" stare after that partners meeting. :wtb:

it seems like alot of the characters go thru the same situations but with different circumstances. i'm now realizing how big this show is on morals
