The changing of the guard and these good ol' boys not evolving with the times is probably the most prevalent theme of the show. Even Don, who's a little more progressive with things like feminism, still can't seem to get with it completely.
If anyone is dethroning Don, it's Peggy, she's got Don's tutelage and obviously the talent. She's also becoming more and more confident by the episode. Ginsberg doesnt have the swag to be Don, but he's a force to be reckoned with.
I forget what account it was for, but SCDP and the firm Peggy went to were competing for it last season i think and Don was offended by that dude that hired Peggy because he thought he was Don's competition even though he'd never accomplished anything. I remember agreeing with him, but thinking his inability to respect him would come back on him.
ginsberg has the swag brehs... he pitched the hell out of that stockings (i believe) campaign even though it wasnt what don decided on. that cinderalla horror story type add, they loved it and don was furious at the bar later...
