They never show how he's bringing them in though. It's always, "I was on the phone with __________ for two hours and they wanna come in."
"Guess who we're in the running to sign?"
Etc., etc. and they never show what he's doing. It just happens.
With Roger, they show him schmoozing up to people and generally swagging all over clients. There's none of that with Pete.
Thats pretty much what account men do, they keep existing clients happy and try to bring in new business. Him finding out the British guy from Jaguar lost his job was part of his job. Pete is always out there grinding and he seems like the type to do whatever it takes to close.
When they started SCDP, they picked Pete over Ken because Pete made clients feel like they still had needs to be met.
Megan's pops was anti-corporate but in like 2-3 lines Pete had this man at the idea of getting his work out to the world

Don't know if anybody else brought this up, but I just remembered that Don's mother was a prostitute. That adds another dimension to his utter disgust of what Joan did & what the other partners allowed her to do.
It definitely crossed his mind. Remember that convo he had with the madame at that whore house with the first Jaguar guy?I don't know if that even crossed his mind. Think he got pissed at the idea of the partners even considering the thought of prostituting someone he respected and admired as we saw last week.
Remember he got pissed at Sal for not fukking with the Lucky Strikes guy because it led to them leaving.
There's a blog that does a recap of style and colors for every episode.
Let me try to find it.
Its also obvious that the firm is headed in Pete's direction and not Dons...And he hasn't even had to use his ace in the hole yet...Pete is gonna dethrone the king, and just a few episodes ago, he thought life was hopeless...
