Possible. Or maybe she manifested the blue hair to compund her resolve to keep the portal open. Her daughters comic hero.

This, I thought the hair turned blue during the process, when she expended more energy to keep the portal open, like she upgraded on some dragon ball shyt, episode was dope.

Another good episode (mainly everything after the portal). They seem like they're gonna finish strong after some rocky starts and inconsistencies.

Smh. It Leti didn't quit with the dramatic shyt and hightail it the fuk outta there while Hip overhead bout to fry her motherboard and shyt :gucci:

Montrose still aint got no excuse for passing on the beatings & trauma to his son but you understand him a bit more. Ima need Omar to make himself useful soon tho :comeon:

Tic halling off those cacs with the strength of 10,000 Jackie Robinson's :ohlawd:

Breh, I get that they wrote the homo shyt into the plot to explain different shyt, my only assertion was and still is that it was not essential. You don’t need to keep repeating the different ways they used it as motivation. If Montrose isn’t gay, the story could stay pretty much the same and no one would’ve batted an eye.

I also know that the gay shyt isn’t the only change the made from the book, but again I’m only refuting the claim that this change was essential, cuz it wasn’t. Y’all can keep pretending that Hollyweird doesn’t interject this gay shyt all the time if you want but they do. It’s been a wave for years now.

“Y’all can keep pretending that Hollyweird doesn’t interject this gay shyt all the time if you want but they do.”

- You’re reinforcing the same point I’m making. The hollyweird that you’re speaking of in this context is black creatives.. females like Ava, Misha, Katori or Issa..or progressive artists like Jordan or Berry Jenkins, Danny Glover, Lee Daniels even 50 cent.. they have their liberal ideologues on full display. It’s time to accept that at this point the black conglomerate in film and television for the most part have drawn their lines in the sand in regards to lgbtq+ inclusion. it seems like shows or movies featuring our ppl won’t be ‘complete’ without the gay representation in some shape or form. The ppl that write, produce and direct these shows (funded by white collars) have made characters like Montrose essential in modern storytelling and world building in all media and print. Mfs really came in and flipped everything on its head in lil under a decade.

If that’s the point you were making from the beginning, then apologies cuz I missed that. And the underlined can’t be understated, cuz those white dollars decide which creatives get to see their work actually make to our screens.

Cheers, tho breh, I won’t sully this thread any longer with this discourse, cuz despite my criticism of that aspect, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying this show.:handshake:

I wasn't feeling the swift pacing in the beginning of the ep. Everything after the portal jump was dope. Leti looked incredibly awkward in her 20s getup.

When Granny came to that realization that they weren't going to make it :to:

Montrose's father giving him an azz whooping out in the yard for everybody to see:to:

Young Uncle George :mjcry:

Tic is the stranger with the bat :ooh:

Jurnee does this weird thing in almost everything she's ever acted in where her posture is poor and her bottom lip hangs. It's really distracting when she acts and I can't unsee it. She looked homely or slow.

That's exactly wtf it is :mjlol:

I'm thinking Tic and Montrose at least look like they're trying to blend in with the 20s while she looks clumsy and suspicious.
