It was hardly "the focus" of the entire episode... this is why I don't take a lot of these criticisms seriously because y'all really be tryin to do the most. Tulsa was the focus.
You got some with William Reeves family.
I did like that they actually showed the planes coming in and dropping booms on the Tulsa community on Love Craft Country. I agree it was good to see blacks actually fighting back that is a history often timesadmittedomitted when it comes to us.
Lol corrected!I’m not one to care about that shyt but it matters here
It really is.
So many agendas stuff into one show. And it's clear the show is an attempt to induce trauma and stoke fear in my people.
It makes me look at all that's happening regarding police murders and brutality as planned. And that they are literally sacrificing black bodies to achieve their ends in real life.
So yes it's funny to me. Because its so obvious its disturbing.
My wife was pissed like wtf is she walking so slow.Hippolyta overhere struggling while Letty taking her sweet time
That spell must protect anything she's touching or in contact with right?
My wife was pissed like wtf is she walking so slow.
It was like an extended slow motion action scene from Bad Boys
That's intentional breh. Mans couldn't have a traditional father/son relationship depicted in this time piece even tho... The traditional family structure back then was a lot more common then than it is now.Atticus be straight up talking shyt and disrespecting his dad
I mean I get it but gotdamn
Montrose was a gay black boy in 1921 and a gay black man in the 40’s in a hyper masculine society that he had to navigate. That is a interesting story mixed in with all the other great stuff in this story. I’m as straight as they come but why do y’all act like gay black people haven’t existed since the beginning of historyI was watching this shyt play out like...
The lack of nuance with the writing towards Montrose's plight and struggle with homosexuality is borderline hilarious. They go back in time to hammer it home even further... Then they want us to feel more empathetic for his story than Tic's.
In the last few episodes, it's revealed that Tic's "father" is gay and he isn't his biological father...his beloved uncle gets killed before being told that he's his real pops as well. That's a lot to take in right? But for some reason, the show seemed like they wanted us to feel more for his lying ass abusive pops because he was gay.
shyt's crazy.
Also, I get the whole "our ancestors died" for this and that, but holy shyt... Tic's grandmother just willing burning to death was a hell of a way to convey that message. I'm torn on how I feel about that
