Do they accept 3rd world country nikkas?Infosys has 132 suppliers who sponsor visas.
Same, as far as the overqualified part.
I have an "office" to myself but its really just a big ass room with no one else here.
No windows, no nothing. Just space and computer parts.
I'm gonna bring some speakers next week.
I actually setup a small on-prem cloud today to help them cut their Azure bill. Gonna bring some servers down over the weekend.
Not my best cable management, but the actual setup is nice very professional. 5x HyperVisors, All clustered (vms will run in CPU comp mode for live migratoin)
One dedicated switch just for migration, and a secondary dedicated switch for iSCSI, 2 nics teamed for internet (and set to load balance)
So I actually did some work today
Going to do the NAT rules and firewall configs later, gotta play some WoW.
I actually convinced them that I needed a gaming laptop and 2 144hz monitor because I have "eye strain"
Bookmarked for when I have good news.
Spoiler: Just waiting on a background check
I'm sayin tho. Crypto is lifeMy job has turned basically into Crypto research and I've been negligent from real work for months....
What the fukk???Congrats breh
I was fired a hour ago, dude said I was late everyday and did a no call no show. I have proof that he is lying but whats the point
Back on the grind tomorrow morning
What the fukk???
And I am waiting for the background check to get in my Information Technology Specialist positionBased on the setup of the place, I punched above
my weight and would be doing more than Help Desk, though it requires some travel to the different campuses in the Chicago area.
The head of IT and I hit it off and he literally bushed the other resumes during the interview. He interviewed me off the strength of my A+ (Its totally not a useless cert),
and while I completely botched all 3 of the interview questions, he knew I was knowledgeable.
One question he asked, poorly worded, was what kinda memory have PCs been using as of late? I answered DDR4. He said no, he meant in terms of CPU.
I didn't know what the fukk he was talking about, so I backed up and thought about the most recent major thing with CPU's, walking through it aloud, and surmised
he was talking about the Northbridge since AMD integrated all the functions years back and killed the Southbridge. Guy says he was looking for L3 cache, but he knew
what I was getting at. If he worded it differently, I wouldn't have Juelz'd that shyt so hardSo basically he called me 2 days earlier than he said he would and handed me
the assurance I got it, and he just letting HR do their thing, told me that they are lenient on background checks. All I know is, by months end, I won't be serving food anymore:letyasoulglow:

No disrespect to him, but he worded the question badly. I would have said DDR4 as well.
If he had said cache memory that would have made more sense
And unless he wants you to breakdown how meltdown and spectre work, why would it matter if you know how cache memory works or not? Not like its something you would ever have to troubleshoot
Yea, it fukked with me, cause you have to be specific. Memory is a blanket term to those not with the shyts. Folks can take that to mean ram or hard drive storage. If he said anything like cache or integrated memory controller, I would have known what he meant right then. Either way, we chopped it up about certs and shyt, and it was a wrap. On the way out of the office to get a smoke, balled up the resumes, tossed em on a desk, and talked to me for a few more outside of the interview. No disrespect to him, but he worded the question badly. I would have said DDR4 as well.

I answered reflexively. The head of IT...I would assume would use "memory" specifically to address volatile memory, not anything referring to cache.Lol
That’s a pretty ambiguous question
I would have asked to clarify if he meant RAM though.
I feel your logic.. but I wouldve said DDR4 unless he specified also. But hey, if the nikka bout to give me a job that would change my life. Id ride the wave.I answered reflexively. But heyI'm not about to argue that kinda shyt with a man that is putting me on to a total career change. To not have to serve food anymore, I will
pretend zip drives are the best on-the-go storage method if need be.
