I think it's gotten worse though. Gone With the Wind, Lawrence of Arabia, The Ten Commandments, Ben-Hur were all between 3.5 and 4 hours long. And they're considered all-time Hollywood classics. Even the Lord of the Rings movies were long as fukk (especially the extended cuts) and people loved them. That wasn't very long ago.
And I haven’t seen none of them movies. Haven’t watched the Irishman either. Tried watching the first lord of the rings and was bored to tears. There is a such thing as too damn long and movies dragging on. Endgame was the only 3 hour movie I respect and I’ve only seen that once.

I don’t know, people attention span been short before cell phones. That’s a long ass time to sit still. Movie better have Quentin Tarantino dialogue with micheal bay action.
I think a lot of the reaction to this is overblown.

A 4 hour movie in a movie theater may be a situation where you can be taken aback by the running time but a 4 hour movie on a streaming service is not the same situation.
You're in your living room and can pause when you want to, restart when you want to. It's not the same type of ask of an audience as a theatrical release with the same running time.

People will plop their asses on the couch and binge half of a season of a show in one sitting. 4 hours of watching something isn't that wild a concept in the age of streaming especially not during The Panorama where we are all just trapped in the house anyway.

The only problem I have with 3+ hour films is rewatching. I've seen Irishman, Endgame, LOTR, Hobbit etc. only once and I have no desire to watch them again. I end up rewatching certain scenes over again on Youtube instead.

The thing about Endgame is that the movie is only 3 Hours because the credits is long as fukk. The actual movie clocks out at 2 Hours 49 Minutes.

The length doesn't matter when you can pause, stop and come back to it at any time. If people like they'll finish it simple as that.

I honestly don’t think the length is that serious.

it can be 8 hours for all I can care.

if anyone wants to watch it watch it. If you don’t, don’t (I still never watched Irishman):yeshrug:

Now the real issue is, whether this is actually good or bad and does it really warrant being that long.:russ:

I feel like it’s TOO LATE for this version of the franchise. I mean what’s next, remixing and redoing every other movie that didn’t do as well as expected?

Cuz if so Release new cut of Bumblebee :lolbron:

I mean yea but I don’t want this to be one a trend. It could go real bad if it isn’t on the level of a endgame

What does that even mean?
People will watch or not and like it or not. There are no monumental consequences to this at all and it has absolutely zero to do with anything from Marvel.
The only people with a stake in this thing's success are Zack Snyder and HBO Max/ATT.
For the rest of the world it's just another streaming offering from one of the 9 billion streaming options.

I just want this to come and go.

This needs to stop holding back DC

Regardless of if this movie is great or atrocious.... I hope this concludes this Snyder/DC saga and everyone can move on.

Look. I’m not trying to sit through a 4 hour movie and it be average or boring. That’s it..

I don’t think you need 4 hours to tell this story. If it ends up being good then great, but that doesn’t mean other studios should start doing the same. Since Hollywood is full of copycats.

Until this movie comes out and is a classic I will remain skeptical that it will be too long and drag a bit. It’s crazy that y’all are trying to act like this isn’t an ambitious goal and the average person is overreacting. Not we are reacting just right. None of their movies since the Nolan trilogy have been great.

nobody is tellin u to sit through it. I thought Return of the King was too long but mostly because i was bored with the last half hour.

but The irishman never bored me i've seen it a few times now. i just pause it, go to the bathroom, get a snack whatever you are at home in the comfort of your own living room
