Real talk, this is going to be critic proof. The Snyder haters, the MCU stans, the biased media and the paid WB critics are going to do their damnest to bash it and shyt on it regardless. The people who pushed FOR the Snyder Cut and got what they wanted is going to praised it and love it regardless. watching BvS Director's cut tonight and it's just so 
with the scenes added in that flesh out the story. Should have just went ahead with the 3-hour version in the theaters.
it's much more of a slow burn and explains everyone's motivations much clearer..
it explains more of why Bruce is so tortured and cynical and why he puts part of that on Superman..
it explains the tug of war between Superman being a hero... a God to some people... and others who just wanna criticize and politicize every move..
But the best part is how it shows more in depth Lex Luthor's plan and the Batman conspiracy that pits Superman against Batman. Just a dope movie.

WB's hands were forced. They lied, concealed the truth and denied themselves as being complicit in having a hand in messing up the theatrical cut of Justice League, their attempts to blackballing Zack Snyder and burning the bridges with the relationship with the cast, especially Ray Fisher's. WB didn't want this to happen. They fought against the cries for this to happen, but their PARENT COMPANY, AT&T, overruled it and MADE them greenlit the Synder Cut because AT&T knew that it'll generate more streaming subscribers for HBO Max. Now WB been very spiteful. They barely promoted it, all the promotion been either Snyder himself and bloggers on the internet, many firmly believe to include Ray Fisher, that someone in WB purposely tried to leak the movie, WB doesn't want this film to be any ways successful at all, it would justify their so-called reasons of b*stardizing it and they hope it'll end the cries for Zack Snyder's universe to continue. They want this to be one and done forever.

To put it simply. BvS. WB was pissed over the general disappointment of BvS and took the reigns over creative control. Zack Snyder kept bucking them. Then Snyder's daughter died which he took a hiatus in filming which eventually turned into quitting when he learned WB was trying to hire Whedon to re-write and edit his movie. Once Snyder quitted, WB promoted Whedon to take full control and allowed him to do a complete overhaul of the film so it'll be more like the Avengers.
Snyder's wife, Christopher Nolan and all of Snyder's friends made a vow that Snyder should never watch the theatrical cut of the movie and ensured he'll never see not a second of it. To this day, Snyder never watched the Whedon cut.
