Nope..highest grossing one and the most profitable flick for paramount that year. The humans are basically afterthoughts in those movies anyway man. People want to see robots doing robot shyt. Put someone on the posters to sell the movie and someone to do talk shows who's just a little likable, got a little charisma, put a cute woman in it..boom, you're printing money. That's why they knew they'd be good without Shia and just replaced Megan with another beautiful woman; they're a factory of movie making and one replaced human cast member won't stop the show or hurt the bottom line

Just curious. Did you watch/like Transformers 4? I still haven't finished it. Thinking of finishing it or watching World War Z tonight.
The book is pretty much sci-fi horror so i would applaud that approach
I also have a theory that they're going to borrow a major detail at the end of the original book as a plot device to open up rest of the reboot "world". If they follow through, I would be very happy to see where they decide to take the series

The original JP is an all time favorite, but would've been GOAT type action/adventure movie had they stuck to the script of the book with an R-rating.

It's meh to me. I was bored to death and it just felt lifeless with no energy at all. Interesting ideas but as most of Michael Bay movies go, he's not really interested in the ideas he puts forth. I'd watch world war z if I were you
