Yeah but here’s the thing: it’s subjective. One persons “weak” is another persons “good” which creates a never ending loop lol. That’s the nature of art and definitely the nature of an anthology. If the overall opinion here is it’s weak, I guarantee you I can pluck another review from a movie/tv site that says the opposite. shyt isn’t math

I'm aware, but I'm not hearing high praises all around. When shyt gets praised the positive outweighs the negative. :ld:

Whereas I’ve heard the exact opposite. Which is probably another issue in of itself.

I think that’s my issue with with our conversations around film and tv and music these days. shyt becomes binary and there’s less of a discussion and more of a shouting fest or just no actual discourse at all. I know the shyt didn’t just start but Twitter is definitely making it worse.

We tend to want things to be black or white and want art to be math but it’s not. Not even close. I was listening to a couple film critics talk about how film criticism as an art is even suffering from this and it’s dragging the field down.

I tend to stay away from arguments in here. Once in a while I'll engage in it, but I mostly skip pass them. It's all opinion anyway.

Just finished the new episode, ‘replay’. Another solid episode imo. The racist cop was a good villain bc the whole episode I despised him.

There’s clearly some metaphors in this one, and it’s creepy at parts...idk. It Leaves you wondering.

I don't know about this version of TZ. I understand Peele is bringing light to social issues and current events, but I need my Twilight Zone more twisted and thought provoking like this:

The long running time is killing this show. In each episode I’ve come away thinking that they could be a good 10-15 minutes shorter. The best episodes of the original Twilight Zone were simple concepts told in under 30 minutes. In fact, the weakest season of the original show was the one where they went to an hour. So why repeat that mistake? Sometimes, less is more.

"THE SECOND AMENDMENT LITERALLY SAYS 'A WELL REGULATED...' THE SECOND AMENDMENT IS ONLY 27 WORDS LONG, THAT'S 11.1 PERCENT OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT. SO YOU'RE SAYING THE SECOND AMENDMENT..."
