And I'm :dead: at cats still running the incel shyt into the ground.

Dude killed three people because they were fukking with him. Not because he couldn't get p*ssy. Incel is "involuntarily celibate". They hate women. Arthur hated society as a whole, rich people specifically. Take the rant he went on at the end, towards the rich and/or Thomas Wayne....now imagine if he'd aimed that rant solely at women.

That's an incel. Incel ain't short hand for "crazy, violent person".

Fred.
This is what i thought incels were. And no one contradicted it. People talking in my old thread like incels are every homicidal headcase.

No offense but I wish cats who clearly aren't familiar with the character wouldn't weigh in on shyt like this.

There's nothing "cool" about Arthur Dent before he became Joker. He was a lame failed comedian getting chumped by gangsters in arguably the most famous Joker origin story, "The Killing Joke". I don't know where this idea came from that he was some kinda bad ass.

Fred.

His name is Arthur Fleck and
The movie should have been titled something else rather than them slapping JOKER on it just to make bank.

The only people he killed were people that wronged him.

The three guys on the train were beating his ass.

His mother lied to him.

His fat co-worker told the cops he stole a gun making him the top suspect in the murders.

Murray was clowning him on national tv.

He let the midget co-worker go because he said he never fukked with him. It's also why I believe he didn't touch the girl he was having delusions about dating.

Should an origin story on the character not be made?

If you strip the comic elements from Killing Joke, how different is it from the movie in terms of it being about a fukk up/failure that finally goes fukk it and embraces the insanity?

He's never officially been given one in the comics, the killing joke dont count. People already want this to be canon in the DC universe, yeah a weak ass joker to coincide with the new batman relaunch.

It’s already been said this Joker is not crossing with Reeves’ Batman.

I'm :dead: at "they slapped JOKER on it to make money."

This logic makes zero sense because the word was out that Joker didn't really appear in the movie until the very end. So how could the title alone generate $1 billion? :dahell:

Unless people were living under a rock they knew damn well it was a movie about Arthur Fleck.

How don't "The Killing Joke" count? :dahell:

Because it's not canon? Guess what....neither is this. But there is precedent for Arthur Fleck being a lame in the comics. You cats act like Ledger's Joker is the definitive version.....guess what, that's not canon either. I don't understand complaining about "they took away everything that makes the character cool!" when he has no set origin.

In short...

the Joker is something specific..... and also anyone at the same damn time

That aspect to me is dope

Exactly.

There is a very specific end result but the point of the character is, anyone could be The Joker. Given the right circumstances.

Which again, is the point of "The Killing Joke". Joker literally says that, damn near word for word. Arthur even says "I had a bad day" when talking to Zazie Beetz. Which is paraphrasing "The Killing Joke".

The incel shyt started months before the movie came out. By the media, damn near salivating at the thought of one of those weirdos shooting up a theater.

I'm saying for cats to be falling for the same shyt, 3+ months later, is :mindblown:

Exactly. I think a majority of people just don't understand the character of The Joker. His brilliance is he can be anyone under the right circumstances. Thats what's truly terrifying. The human mind snapping and becoming irreparable.

Yeah they knew the movie wasnt marketable on it's own so they put jokers name on it to create a buzz.

they stripped away all the appeal from the comics, games and movies, if you like your joker as a whiney little bytch that's on you.

People saying Ledger was more Joker are correct. Simply because Ledger played the Joker the entire movie. Phoenix played Arthur Fleck. So of course Ledger was "more" Joker.

He murked countless people he aint a bytch at all :pachaha:

It was some of the liberal media that was trying to push the false "incel" narrative but I find it interesting that liberal Hollywood canceled all that out and loved the film and embraced it.

I'm as liberal as anyone and even I thought the media was being 100% ridiculous

But how could he murk all those people when it was a all a dream? :troll:

Movie should have just been called "the life and times of Arthur Fleck"

One other question I was just thinking of. At the end of the movie, he says he just though of a joke and tells his case worker she wouldn't get it. They showed Bruce Wayne with his dead parents as he was chuckling. My takeaway from that is Bruce Wayne will think the Joker killed his parents when really it was a protestor.

Another great moment was when he laughs listening to Thomas Wayne shytting on "cowards behind masks" when we in the audience know his son is going to become a masked vigilante.
