Great movie. Had wet eyes at some parts, other I was mesmerized by the beauty of the shots, the score and the stellar acting performance.

I was afraid they were going to go for the soap opera thing too much, and they kinda did, but movie had great sequences that made it easy to digest. Plus they didn't go all the way and at some points Arthur was just straight up unlikable which makes for great balance.

Biggest negatives to me were the beat up scenes that were too far-fetched and his monologue in the final act that was pretty unnecessary, as well as the fictional relationship part.

All in all the positives by far outweigh the negatives.

BTW am I the only one that found the scene where he points his gun at the black dudes on TV weird? What was it about?

In the movie he usually only expresses violent sentiment towards himself and people that hurt him, and all of the sudden it cuts to Black men dancing on TV and him pointing the gun at them
