He's great in pretty much everything he does, but if you're looking for the disturbed vibe:

Her
Inherent Vice
You Were Never Really Here

What's amazing about him is all those roles are disturbing but they're still unique as fukk, his performances can't be swapped out.

He was also good in The Master.

Ok my name don’t ring out in the film room but here’s my take:

SPOILERS TOO

Was good and dark but no real plot to me. If I went in with no knowledge of Batman or joker I’d be like :mindblown:

The laughing defect was annoying to me. Literally minutes of him just laughing for no reason didn’t hit.

And how old is Joker compared to Batman in this universe? Bruce was like 10 and Joker looked a real 50+ :what:

Not a bad film but served no real purpose in showing Jokers story

The plot is how he allegedly becomes the Joker... I mean it is an ORIGIN STORY. The plot is obvious.

Also, the film pretty much tell you that Arthur Fleck is 30 years old. So their age differences is possibly 20 years apart. But again... the entire movie is ambiguous.

Aight I have some questions.

Is JOAQUIN’s shoulder fukked up like that in real life? Brehs shyt was looking dislocated.

How was Joker able to ask for his mom’s medical records in the first place? It doesn’t work like that.

Why the fukk was young Bruce by himself and letting a strange man put his hands in his mouth? :dahell:

You DO realize that the ENTIRE FILM is from his perspective and that he's an UNRELIABLE narrator. We do not know what is real or fake or what partially real of his own delusion. There's a lot of scenes when you stop and think about it doesn't matter total sense, such as him able to get to Thomas Wayne to begin with which was strongly hinted as him imagining it since the scene where he was leaning on the bathroom sink cuts to the scene of his in the exact position leaning in his own kitchen sink.

He was also good in The Master.

The Master is by far his best work to date. the movie itself may not be for everyone, but his acting was superb and should have won the Oscar.

interesting tidbit for Mr. Robot fans, this movie launched Rami Malek into getting more serious roles

His clown steps were good but the laughing got old, his awkwardness got old. Showed no signs of someone who will become an anarchist mastermind. Was hoping for a anarchy crime drama instead got overly grandiose acting and a drawn out descent into madness that could have been wrapped in the first 45 minutes.

You seem like you feel the same, brother.

Makes little sense for him to imagine that. 100% real

This is why I hate the unreliable narrator trope sometimes. Because now we have to debate over everything. Might as well have a movie of him flying around with a squirrel sidekick defeating all of Gotham’s bad guys and then go “Was it real or fake?” :troll:

I think the movie does a clear job of showing what was fantasy. All the other speculations have me like :beli:

Hes in it 90 percent of the time as arthur fleck not the joker

This is a really good point and why there shouldn’t be comparisons. I mentioned I preferred Ledger because he was already Joker and bringing chaos to Batman’s world.

Actually this movie made me realize that I don’t care much for Joker’s backstory or why he does stuff. Just get to the Jokering.

Facts! I was sitting there like “this is unrealistic af!” I started thinking that bedwench agenda was real. :mjpls:

Saw this on a date night a few days ago..

One of the first things I took away was how much endurance he has with all the running he did..:russ:

I knew he was daydreaming about the girl, that was obvious..

But you see it thru his perspective which is great. I can also see how some in the media may think this movie will “inspire” some crazy ass white dude who thinks of himself as a sympathetic figure to carry out a homegrown terrorist act, they have been doing that so this movie won’t make a difference but I digress...

The music was great, it kept me entertained until the end, when the midget couldn’t get out of the door was hilarious considering moments before how brutal that killing was. And when he walked on stage as the joker and kissed that old lady..:deadmanny:

I would definitely watch it again, I also loved how it set the scene in Gotham. I thought I was playing Arkham Knight! Didn’t care for all his dancing, that was meh but overall a dope movie..
