I think he excels when he's a co-writer and has a guiding hand instead of working on the whole thing by himself. Doesn't hurt that he wrote the treatment with Johns who treats GL like his kid.

Cue the overwrought whining at the announcement of Goyer co-writing this movie.

I was wondering how soon Goyer would be given a prime movie gig in the DC movieverse once Geoff Johns took over since Goyer and Johns are old writing partners.

I'm always iffy on Goyer's writing but this lethal weapon angle has me interested. Kinda wish they would've just gotten Shane black to write it for real. But that's also probably impossible with his schedule

Goyer's good when he has a partner who can temper some of his more out there tendencies. While I am not sure if Rhodes is that guy I do think having Geoff Johns in an oversight position will keep Goyer in check.
When the two of them worked together on the JSA comic they made it one of the best books on the market.

is that a new article?...i ask cause that's the same rumor from before when people thought chris pine was being cast as hal....

no matter, i like the idea...the story should let them be cops and have them investigating stories of a yellow virus causing fear aka parallax, which eventually leads to the yellow corp....can even have sinestro helping do the investigating, and turning to the yellow side....

speaking of sinestro: that's one thing the ryan reynold's film got right, and i'd be happy to see that actor reprise the role...hell, that movie got all the laterns right except hal lol....

as for casting: i still think aldis hidge should be jon and james kahn's son should be guy.....as for who should be hal, i liked the chris pine rumor, but since he's in WW, i'll have to think about that....i think they should go with an up and coming actor for the role....

John Stewart is my favorite DC character.

I've stayed largely out of all DC related bashing or praising because i frankly haven't cared until I got confirmation on what I wanted to see. This is going on 2 years now lol.

Yeah, like why wouldn't he be involved..

MOS is underrated and BvS's issues wasn't just dialogue as it was the villain, chopped up story, execs, directing, etc.

And it was still not that bad.
