I finally watched this.
I only watched the original G film because of a film class and loved it.
This definitely plays like a 1950s black-n-white drama but done so well. The Godzilla attacks built up momentum and also stopped abruptly from the human prospective.
The tension of the final confrontation was dope. Music hit all the right notes.
The way they did Godzilla’s effects definitely made him look like the man in suit with limited range of motion.
I would giggle when the Godzilla march hit just because I know it more from the rap song.
That scientist dude’s Dr Strangelove hair was glorious

I was really confused at the Odo island attack cause the Godzilla design felt like the 1990s American movie design

This movie was only intended to be in theaters for a week
Finally saw this
they pushed the Mexico showing back until the 28th.
we had to catch it once we got back from Vacation
then got delayed coming back because of those systems forming.
well worth the wait
Big G was an absolute a$$hole in this

seriously though. its probably in the top 3 Godzilla films
the pacing, suspense & the action was well mapped out .

he got on my nerves with the anime level overreactions a few times during the flick
