The Chi is produced/written by that industry plant agenda black trauma promoting dike bytch Lena Waithe- I’m not supporting that thing after she put out that movie “Them” or her other fails. I don’t know anyone from Chicago that watches, The Chi- that says ALOT. With all due disrespect - fuk her and any of her content (but no disrespect to you, of course:handshake:)

Read this article - (written by a black woman not falling for her divisionary games, like how I feel as a black woman speaking my mindset - sums up and hits all of the points).
Why the Internet Turned on Lena Waithe

here’s a snippet:
“Even as she (Lena) professes to represent the Black community that she belongs to, she perpetuates the traumatic narratives inherent in too much of Black-centric media. This is a fine line that many creators of content about painful experiences, whether it be drugs or death or brutal racism, must walk. But Waithe might walk it perhaps too much, and not well.”

“Of Waithe’s best-known works, several sit firmly in the camp of possibly exploitative, ill-considered Black trauma porn. “

“felt hopeless instead of inspired; deflated instead of uplifted; tired instead of woke,” wrote Jordan Ligons for the Ringer, in a piece about how Queen & Slim’s storytelling fails Black audiences. By dooming the Black leads to an awful fate, the film chose to retraumatize rather than reinvigorate an audience already ensconced in daily reminders of the difficulties of being Black in America.”

Them’s disturbing use of violence goes beyond the boundaries of a horror show; it teeters into outright provocation of very real traumas for Black Americans, what with all the white people brutalizing Black people with meager narrative purpose beyond shock.”

she does nothing more than make black violence movies under the guise of drama; for public appeal to the appeasement of white audiences.

Hold up!!! Animal Kingdom is coming back????!!! I thought they didn’t renew it.
:ohhh:
I don’t know though
They murdered Smurf - her ruthlessness, cold calculating was part of the reason I watched- she was stacking up bodies ever week :damn::damn:
But the grandson - he might pick up from where she left off . Interesting to see what they’ll do with this.

@til november Remember the other day when I said Harlem doesn’t get down with Nicki Barnes and Frank Lucas like that; those who live in Harlem don’t run with the media glorification narrative about him. Check this video below:
4:24
Dude is talking about how the concept of reinvesting proceeds into the community and distributing the wealth stopped with the 70s era Nicky Barnes, Lucas and all that who started the “out for self” era While Bumpy was all about looking out for the community. This carried up into the 90s-2000s. Vid dropped a few hours ago - timing is crazy bc I was talking to my friends the other day and now this video dropped. I want my cut of this video- they took my ideas and convo
:lolbron:
j/k this isn’t about money, it’s about content contribution - knowledge should always be free:smile:
4:38 Mentions Bumpy Johnson

Narcissistic era
“Ima get mine at the expense of yours”

the 80s was that multiplied by 2
Excessiveness

Excessiveness to the extreme and showing off. Before the Gs were like “if I eat, everybody eats, all families have food on their table”- Now it’s nothing “the I need to eat and her mine; go get your own, if everybody is starving - that’s not my problem” smfh. No code.

Lot of bodies in the wake due to jealousy and ego. People think the #1 killer is drugs and money - nope. It’s Ego and Bravado.
