Just watched it....man, that shyt was fukking HYPE.

You know what, as much as I've disliked this dude, I can't even deny that Alliser Thorne put in fukking work. He was on his STANNIS shyt, going STRAIGHT INTO the fukking battle with no regard for his own life. I respected that shyt, even if he is still trying to get at Snow, I can't knock dudes hustle ever again...he's a real nikka.

On the other hand...

This dude is a fukkING COWARDICE fakkit! Dude gonna run and hide on some bytch shyt.... I thought he was about to get at Gilly and was about to lose my shyt....thank God all he did was hide in a corner.... I think it's very telling that when Sam opened the door at the end, Gilly, although completely unarmed and with zero fight training, still picked up a bone or whatever to at least give herself a fighting chance, this cat literally hid behind the door.

hm im not 100% sure i would have to go back. im sure tyrion arranged a way for him to be escorted all the way up there tho.

i think if you were sentenced to the wall, as opposed to volunteering for it, you are already subject to their desertion laws. if u dont show up, that bounty is out for your head. a bounty anybody would be willing to collect to win favor with the kings hand.

Tyrion sent him to the Night's Watch when he became Hand. He was ticked about the murder of King Robert's b*stard infant, and he didn't trust him as Commander of the City Watch because he betrayed the prior Hand.

They escorted him to a ship, I suppose whoever was on the ship escorted him from east watch by the sea to the wall.

I'm not trying to belabor meaningless details not explicitly explained on the show, I'm just saying the whole dismissal, seemed very unofficial to me. Did Tyrion even, technically, have the power to dismiss him like that? It seemed like something he did in the middle of the night so no one would be around to stop him (I recall Cersei being slightly ticked about it). If I'm Slynt, I'm deserting, I doubt he'd have faced any real consequences. Then, again, he seemed to enjoy sitting on his high horse as a lord at castle black, so...


just seems like such a raw deal (even without the white walkers and free folk attacking) spending the rest of your days with a bunch of society's scum and no women? I would've Jorah-ed my way right up out of that situation
