Maybe I missed it, but does the show ever explain how some wildlings got south of the wall?? Book brehs, if its a spoiler, then nevermind

Think of Wildlings as Illegal Immigrants. The Night's Watch are few and are spread thin. So they can't catch em all.

Night Watch = Border Patrol
Winterfell = ICE

:manny:

I always thought that escaping the Night's Watch seemed easy as hell. I mean you could escape find some new clothes, assume a new name, rob somebody and then take a ship to another continent and become a sellsword or something.

Not like they could put out an APB on a nikka.

I'd have to say the Hound would win by a small margin.

When Tyrion asks Bronn to fight for him against the Mountain, Bronn basically says hell no. To me that indicates he doesn't think he could win. Going off the evidence we have, the Cleganes are pretty even as fighters so it might be that the Hound would win. As far as differences from the book and the show, I'd still say Bron would lose either way.

He doesn't say hell no. He says what's in it for me.

Wildlings can get past the Wall pretty easily if they're in small groups. The reason 99,9% of them don't is the very reason they're wildlings. They call themselves the 'free folk'. They don't want to be subject to any laws but their own.

that makes sense, but i guess what i mean is like, how??? im under the impression that the wall goes from coast to coast, maybe not?? aint it like 700 feet tall, and 300 miles long??? so they are either climbing that bytch, going around it via the sea's, or maybe they got some secret tunnel dug through somewhere??? or perhaps, its never really stated specifically how they are getting through

They're mostly going around the wall by sea.

They go by sea and some scale it, if they have the balls.

I don't think tunnels are a viable option even with the reduced patrols. Jon remembers at some point about some wildling and his crew who dug a big tunnel(wasn't finished) and the NW found it and sealed it behind them, so the wildlings were left inside the wall to die of cold and starvation.

Alright brehs I just watched Ep 9 and I read through all of the comments from episode 9 in here waiting for somebody to speak on Tyrion getting slashed by his own man. That did happen right? Did I miss something? Looked looked like the big man saved Tyrion, then tried to cut his head off, what's up with that?

Maybe I got it wrong though. It looked like Tyrion took a sigh of relief and then dude just swung on him.

he was saved by his squire Podrick, who is like 12 years old in the books, but big for his age

and the dude that tried to kill him was a kingsguard .....leading Tyrion to beleive Cersi set him up
