It wouldn't shock me. The showrunners signed on to adapt his story from paper to film, not freestyle their own fanfic towards his conclusion. George left them out to dry.

Thats kind of bullshyt though.

When the whole process went down, HBO, the showrunners, and GRRM ALL KNEW that he was nowhere close to finishing the series and assuming he didn’t say some shyt like “the series will be finished in two years, TRUST me” then everybody involved should have went into this endeavor with the understanding that this could happen.

Which is why GRRM apparently shared with D&D the logistics of the major story beats BEFORE they got started. To help them with the eventuality of the show surpassing the books. What right would D&D or ANYBODY at HBO have to beef with GRRM about him not finishing a series that had ALREADY gained a reputation for long hiatuses between books.

I’d tell D&D to suck my dikk if they EVER tried coming at me with any bullshyt about any of the show’s flaws being MY fault if I was GRRM. Martin already told them how the story ends, already told them the amount of seasons they’d need to tell the story properly, and they STILL decided to forge ahead with a rushed and half assed ending. Thats THEIR fault not GRRM’s

“It’s been an incredible ride,” Martin told EW. “And almost all of it has been great. Obviously, I wished I finished these books sooner so the show hadn’t gotten ahead of me. I never anticipated that.”

I really doubt when they all started this journey they envisioned things playing out like they have. Absolute worst case scenario should've been having to tie up loose ends from book 7, not use seasons 5 through 8 to fanfic through the major plotlines from book 6 & 7.

Everyone here has blood on their hands. D&D for not calling an audible and abandoning that 75 hour limit they put on themselves when the books never came, and George for not at least pushing out WoW to help guide his baby home.

nikkaz been in here crying for 2 weeks straight :laff:

Just watch the last 2 episodes and keep it moving :laff:

I'll save my final judgement until the end.

Season 8 is a bit disappointing for such a high quality show but I'm still interested to see how it all ends.

Man if y’all got 30 mins watch this

This version is flames. If they would’ve delivered us this story i would’ve literally shed a tear and called GoT the goat series.

This version would be have been highly satisfying. It's a shame a Youtube cac knows more about how to write a good ending than dudes making millions of a year. Almost like they wrote bullshyt on purpose. The only thing I would change is I would have the NK kill Bran, but have Jon fight the Night King for a good 5 minutes and while Jon is about to lose but, has him distracted, you can still have Arya wearing Beric's face stab him from behind in very similar fashion to Ned/Howland killing Arthur Dayne. But Jon and the NK needed to fight each other. Its just unheard of to not have the evil guy actually get busy in the final battle :mindblown: What made Endgame/Infinity War cool was we got to see Thanos fukk everybody up :mindblown: Also the Night King shouldn't burst after being stabbed. His body should disintegrate a bit more slowly, maybe have him turn back into the man he originally was before dying. But that's it. But outside of that this would have been dope. I would have LOVED seeing Bran go back to the Long Night, trying to warn the Children and making Aerys go crazy in between the battle scenes at Winterfell. D&D are fukkin retards man...this shyt was an easy home run for them :mindblown:

Would’ve been flames but this NK/Bran ending was theorized immediately after “The Door” aired. Him having a hand in Mad King’s mental health was too. I always felt the show was trying to get away from popular theories once they ran out of book, no matter how good they were. Maybe it was something I read or a comment D&D made. Idk. Regardless, it’s a shame there’s so many better ways they could’ve executed that “climax.”

Imagine something like Voldemort dying to a Neville Longbottom sneak attack before Potter gets a chance to battle him ONCE.

Harry Potter fanbase would have a stroke. :dead:

Harry's mom died saving him putting a protection spell over him, the whole wizarding world looked up to him like he was royalty, all the hogwarts teachers protected him, he was a horcrux, descendant of the three brothers from the deathly hallows, marked by Voldemort, been terrorized by dude for 8 movies, lost hella friends and family because of him, can read Voldemort's thoughts...if D&D did the movies, they would have had Luna and Neville kill Voldemort because Harry would be too obvious :troll: and nikkas would have rioted :russ:
