You're using Arya chasing cats as to why she was able to become the assassin she is now. Post-trainging with them cats, she was a hostage for the next couple of seasons up until she met up with the faceless men. Her training in season 1 did absolutely nothing for her.
She was not trained for 8 seasons.
She was trained for two seasons and she was getting her ass kick for most of it. She was a failure and was kicked out.
It wasn't up until she killed Waif, that she's become the deadly assassin she is now.
Every kill was visually demostrated on camera,w completely believable and didn't insult our intelligence.
The kill on Night King was the complete opposite of that.
And I'm fine with Arya getting the kill and not Jon Snow. It's the execution that I'm not done with. Imagine the camera zooming in on Thanos and someone appearing out of thin air and killing him. Imagine the camera zooming in on Green Goblin and someone appearing out of thin air and killing him.
