And the problem ain't the seasons being too short now. The problem is the seasons are so short because the show runners Weiss and Benioff want off the show. HBO offered them anything they want....offered them enough money to even wrap it up with big budget movies....more seasons, more episodes....and they said "nah, we're straight". :snoop:

So the only way this show would be fixed is:

1. GRR Martin finished all the books and they worked from that.
2. The show runners still gave a fukk about the show.
3. The show runners were replaced, and the show was given 1-2 more seasons to wrap things up. Or at the very least seasons 7-8 had the normal amount of eps.

That's it.

Fred.

I don't like to pile on cause I still feel the shyt is enjoyable. And episode 3 was a classic, I don't give a fukk what none of yall say. Plotholes and all.....that shyt was epic. Plus I never really fukked with the white walkers anyway. They were always some cheesy cartoon type villains to me.

That being said, that dany and jon scene was so damn horrible. Jesus christ. The begging was a bad look for real. And I'm not even sure if it was the bad acting or the bad writing. Or both. But the bytch was begging jon like a little girl begging for some candy. They straight up ruined Dany's whole image in one scene :mjlol:......I don't even know what they thinking leaving that shot in. It felt like I was watching dawson's creek or some shyt:hhh:
this is what i mean by them making people not care about characters, this rush to the end has jon and dany looking wack - two of the biggest draws, they haven't used missandei enough in two seasons for people to care about her dying other than losing the fine black chick, tyrion and varys have been underutilized and nerfed something serious for 2-3 seasons, i don't know...i guess i might have to join the bad writing team, i can get over plot holes and plot armor, but i feel like they've destroyed characters.

6 episodes is fail.. Like greyworm, Jamie, the mountain, the hound, euronews, and Cersei might die this week but knowing these show runners half of them will live. 2 episodes left so much shyt to cover its gonna be like Bran storyline was a complete waste. Arya won't kill Cersei because she already had a big kill over the night king. People saying the ending is wack means Jon and khaleesi live happily ever after.

it was also prophesied that cersei will die by the hands of her brother, which is why she hated him even more than before. the problem with this is it's obvious that jaime is the one who will kill her now. i'm just hoping the surprise and buildup is good.

It wasn't Ned over Ceresi though. It was really Stannis over the Lannisters. Perhaps Varys thought it would be easier to get rid of Ceresi and company later than it would be to get rid of Stannis.:yeshrug:
Stannis would have merked Varys, littlefinger, pycell all of them if he took the crown.

:palm:I’m saying if Varys wants what’s best of the realm the immediate choice would be backing Ned over Cersei. He doesn’t. Thus his best for the realm/people shtick is tired and played. Theon and Yara gave her her ships in Meereen. The dragons were full grown in Meereen. It’s not like Varys didn’t have an idea of who he wanted after Cersei and clan were disposed.

:handshake:
Going to the cells to rehydrate Ned and convince him to take the black for the sake of his daughters was as much of a co-sign as Varys could give at the time. The deck was stacked way too far in the Lannisters favor at that point to make a true power move, he'd be disposed of easily.

Tywins death is when the armor finally became vulnerable.

One thing I noticed this season is that even mainstream, safe critics are not buying the bullshyt no more .

I really think the public is turning against this season

I cant catch up with all these posts since ep 3 and 4 to post thoughts :russ:

This whole complaining about Arya coming out of nowhere is grade a bullshyt - she was learning that "men are made of water and when you pierce them, it leaks out" in the first fukking season, she was catching cats to learn how to move in silence in the first fukking season. What, so she could kill Walker Frey and Cersei? Her whole arc has been her becoming a killer who comes out of nowhere. The dagger she used was the same one used to try and kill Bran that the 3ER gave back to her FFS.

Yeah, they built up the one-on-one with Jon and the NK... but they built up Robb as King in The North, they built up the dragons as indestructible and they built happy plot-driven endings for all sorts of characters... this story is built on misdirection and always has been, but it's not cheap - they've always sewn the ending they pick... you can trace slices of dialogue with Arya, Sirio and Millesandre back to the start of this shyt to show she was always in the running just as much as Jon.

And yes, the NK was in the first episode and teased all the way through but up til Hardhome we saw them for like 3 minutes per season just to remind us they were there. Don't pretend like the human storylines haven't always been the most important when they've had 95% of the book AND screentime.:hhh:

Jon's destiny is elsewhere because R+L=J - he never was the Prince that was promised, he's a fukking King.

The fate of the throne is someway important to the 3ER, has to be for all the Mad King throneroom flashbacks - with two episodes left and Sansa scheming, he probably ain't done with the reveals yet and it's way too early to know where they're going.

Having confidence you know how the plot was going to go in a story you love because the plot always used to surprise you brehs :francis:
